Does Bryce have any further excuses for this upcoming year?

He has more tools now then Cam had

Not buying that.

Cam had Double Trouble, Smitty, Olsen, and Shockey.

We don't have players that match any of that.

But, yes, I do think Bryce has less room for excuses going into year 2.

Gross, Wharton, and Kalil.  Kalil was HUGE for Cam.

Not ready to say that yet.

He was ‘setup for success’ last year too, and we see how that went.

Was he? The guards we trotted out there were practice squad level. AT was the only WR trying. Chuba was the only RB with consistency. And... our offensive coach was playing an outdated offense. Hurst showed up for two games. Not saying Young is the answer but I'm giving him a mulligan.

Just for the record…

Last year, going into the season….Bryce had an all star coaching staff and folks here said we had a O roster that rivaled the 2003 Super Bowl team around him.

How could he complain when HE was the one that looked that bad?  HE needs to be the one proving to everyone he can play in this league.

    • We could have our best overall game as a unit and we'd still lose because any long time fan knows how the refs tend to screw us over the most when it's the Cowchickens.
    • Half our drives were for less than 30 yards, I guess I just don't see it the same way you do. Having 8 carries over 5 yards (and only 6 over 10 yards) out of 23 isn't exactly like we were taking advantage of a team that couldn't stop a team running to the right with smart play calling to rip off chunks of yards on a constant basis. Which also is kinda my point... if the Dolphins were really having THAT much trouble stopping runs to the right, a better play caller and play designer should have been able to get us more than 8 runs (and only 7 in that direction) of more than 5 yards.  It's that Dowdle deserves the credit for breaking off those bigger runs, NOT Canales and his play calling. My problem is with Canales' play calling from opening kick to final whistle on the whole, not a few selected plays where the player broke tackles and made great plays.
    • With Coker I think we can beat him. Not sure otherwise, offense isn't explosive enough.
