I will go with 8-9, I think Bryce will be much improved with the new weapons.  Still a ways to go talent wise on the team though

I would agree it would be 8-9.  I see the Saints being in last place once again.  The real question is who will be in first place will it be Atlanta or Tampa Bay?

This is a 5 win team tops.

Ya'll have fluffed me enough to reach 3....wins.

For 7 wins- need the best health league-wide, young needs to 4k, 25TD, 8INT, evero wins ACOTY and tons of luck.

This team played in the worse division and was the worst team. It took miracles to win those two games, pouring rain, 4th down convS, and Eddy to spilt with NO time on the clock. Hella bad team and the overall talent dropped(minus BB, luvu, bell, etc), no true 1st and a rookie HC with only one year as OC.....the OC is younger than JJJ and thielen.....

I just hate to poo'd on fellow fans that want to buy the hopium....

I like the addtions on defense and believe our defense is going to keep us in many games.  If the offense  can put us in the 20-24 point range we might just have an above .500 season.

No one gave Houston a shot at making the playoffs this time last season.  Why can we duplicate what Houston did in 2023.

9-8 and in the wild card hunt.

Gotta love optimism.

If the defense gets a couple of injuries we are going to be getting blown out on a weekly basis.

Weak pass rush + thin secondary

The downside to signing two guards to big deals is, if Icky struggles again, can’t slide him inside. It has gotten progressively tougher to project LOT coming out of college I know that. We are going to find out about him this year.

It might need to be a thing where you draft a flyer later every year until one works.

TBH, I think the bigger concern is now center. If Icky falters, there is at least a half assed option at LT. If Corbett falters, there is no other NFL caliber option at C. That could get really ugly, REALLY quickly.

LT is tough but at least you can ATTEMPT to have the guards, TE's and RB's help some. How do you help if the center is getting ragdolled(see last year for some rough tape of that)?

I was OTR as saying I did not see them taking a C high. Like Vegas, I wasn’t taking a side necessarily, more just speculating on what they would do.

My deciding factor was I did not believe they wanted a rookie starting there.

I don’t see anything screaming they are stupid and feel like it is a fairly calculated risk based on their experience. I won’t condemn it before I see it, about that simple.

I don't understand the strategy at center even a little. TBD how it works out but it does seem to be heavily reliant on a magic 8 ball strategy.

Welp it will be one or the other. They will be vindicated in their judgement or crucified for the lack of it.

They are new I am giving benefit of the doubt for now. We have enough mistakes from Fitterer and Tepper et al to be skeptical for sure but I’ll stick with the 2023 mistakes as my primary concern (QB) over whether we start a 2nd round rookie at C. It needs to be seen but that is where I lean.

For real, with this guy at QB being totally unproven, and you being tasked with bringing him into viability, would you feel that putting him under a raw rook would be the favored move?

I mean....aren't we doing that now?

    • Not in same league. Caldwell just hit a 10.00 on the RAS. 2nd out of 3830 from 1987 onward.  https://x.com/MathBomb/status/2027885023387349047 Yeah I mean Louis had a sub 9.00 RAS. Still very very good, no doubt. Louis is small, no 2 ways about it. He is likely a sub package lb in nickel packages or specialized WLB. Be fine ST gunner to start for sure. 6 foot flat and 220lb is pushing it for a starting LB. At 10 to 20lbs less than the other LBs he'd better be closer to the top in most timed drills. He's gonna be challenged when some of the wrs in the class can matchup bigger stronger faster, much less TE in the run game.  Yeah instinct matter and he has them, but that size is a massive red flag compared to many of the other LBS in this class.    Rodriguez is the LB that really climbed this week from a pure grit guy to great flash with athleticism people wrote off cause he was a QB at first at UVA. 18.4mph in the backpedal. Production the last 2 years were great. I'd be thrilled with him as the future mike.   Hill likely moved out of 51 and into the top 45 picks ( Ravens at 45 I can't imagine don't bite if he makes it there). Honestly Hill imo is a 1st rounder and I'd be ok with him as he fits the MLB we have missed the last few years. People would crow it's a reach but he's top 30 all-time I'm RAS for a LB at 9.9+ . Plus he was big time in big games when he was healthy. And that br a big check: meds.
    • Miller, Melo, Coby, Moose, and Bridges all on the floor at the same time must be a nightmare for defenses lol. Switch one out for Kon and still a nightmare. Coby really does bring a true 6th man value and looks like he could start if Melo was out after only a few games of getting his feet wet.
