GREAT stuff and insight right here!

One huge thing I've noticed differently in terms of how our DBs are coached.........we're actually turning around for the ball now (which we also saw a lot in the first preseason game). There's no doubt that is being drilled in their heads by our coaches. I can't tell you how many years we've been questioning why our CBs NEVER turn around for the ball, which usually ends up in a DPI because of an underthrown ball by the QB.

As for Bryce, this might have been his best practice yet. I have to see him do it when the real games start though, when they are actually allowed to hit him. But just happy he finally stringed together a great practice, joint practice at that.

Since Wilks… was the last time, no need for years, you probably knew already lol

I think so too on the insight with the young podcaster

i loved seeing Ickey bury that guy…that’s who I saw at N.C. State

good for young and the receivers

been a long haul for the Carolina fans….it is good to feel positive…even for just a practice

Both Bryce and Ickey looking improved and worthy of their draft selection? I am intrigued. Let's increase this sample size and maybe we might actually have something here.

Exactly. String together a couple of regular season games like this and collect some Ws, and maybe the narrative will start to change a lil bit. But until then, I will remain skeptical. Good step in the right direction though. Let's see how we build off of this.

One thing's for sure though, it does seem that Canales has brought a WHOLE different attitude with this team. Definitely feels a lot different from previous years just in terms of attitude and scheme. We shall see.

This also not true...if you want to say "surprising" then sure. But freaked out is not the mood. Lol

Most coherent and reasonable fans are encouraged but very cautiously optimistic for extremely plainly obvious reasons.

I mean hey let's be real here. The most ugly game of the Panthers season and one of the worst games in franchise history against the Jaguars missing their starting QB occurred directly after Bryce and the rest of the offenses best game of the season against the Packers.

It is perfectly reasonable to take the cautious optimism approach with this team.

Were people scheming Icky? I didn’t look at much but if I were to assume, I’d say not so much. We still have to see about that under real conditions.

He did not throw many decent run blocks last year along with the losing focus and getting beat on the regular. And not just beat, abused.

And I saw him run blocking like a dozer in 2022.

Remember when Pep had that inexplicable really down year? Let’s hope that’s Icky’s thing too. Could black cat be that lucky?

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
