So is a game not 60 minutes long?

We're being criticised now for pulling away in the 4Q? Why were Alabama / Georgia et al in their pomp not punished for that?

If you can point out the refereeing decisions that went in our favour I'd be much appreciated (and you can miss me with the clear non-catch against VT on a Hail Mary).

Ward was a 5th round pick coming into this year. I think a few of you are going to be surprised what he actually does in the NFL - I love what he's done at Miami, but a great deal of what he's been able to achieve is because he's surrounded by very, very good players.

Sure it is. But you aren’t a great team if you are having to pull away from ACC teams late in the 4th essentially every single week.

Again, neutral field, they aren’t really even going to be favored over both SMU and Clemson IMO.   So what are you then?

Miami might win the ACC. If you do, it’s the power of the QB spot. You got the best QB in likely the nation.  So congrats.

What the Playoff Committee says they're going to do and what they actually do are almost certainly wildly different thigs.

Ok.  I gotcha then.  Now I agree overall.  They will selectively punish.   Honestly, Miami would likely benefit simply because of Ward.  Better to have him in than not in.  If they beat Syracuse they are in….even with a loss to SMU.  Because of Ward.

Mack ruined his legacy. Imagine how different he'd be viewed had he rode off into the sunset and handed a hot up and coming coach Drake Maye. He was hired to put the program back on the right track and be a stop gap to the future. Instead he just lucked into a couple of NFL QBs and then hung around to drag us right back into the gutter.

If he's not willing to retire, fire him. But we have to move on and now we're on a worse spot to land a good coach than we were a couple of years ago when Mack should've logically retired.

I have a feeling my gamecocks are going to be over emotional and dare I say, reckless.

It’s been a good run and at least we’ve turned a bit of a corner with Sellers; so this season is already a win for us.

Clemson just beats us plain and simple. Maybe we can muster up some magic but it’ll be tough.

You probably have the best DLine in the country and a couple of explosive playmakers on O.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if you win.

I think the 1 win in recent history was because Dabo was emotional….and wanted to prove he could do a version of Beamer ball.   Instead of just beating yall boringly with Shipley that ole ego/jealously caught Dabo.

I just want a fun game.  Hope the 2 QBs are having good days.  Both IMO have a tendency to run pretty hot/cold.  If one is cold, that teams is done for this weekend IMO.

100% Gamecocks have a tremendous fanbase.  I would have abandoned Clemson long ago if they were basically the college equivalent of a Tepper run football team.

I mean, the ACC is definitely nowhere near as strong as the SEC and Big 10. That's just reality.

I’m curious as to why you say this?  You know the ACC won the head to head last year…right?  7-5.  You think that because you’ve been feed that for years.  I wouldn’t be surprised if the ACC wins head to head again this year.  Not to mention, the SEC hasn’t been the top conference in bowl games for a few years now, they are not what we’ve all been told.  It’s easy to win a bunch of nattys when fat guys smoking cigars in a room, paid for by the SEC committee puts you in the championship game ever year.  Just look at last year, and Alabama was 1 and done…but money talks

I think they are going to beat up Clemson and win by few scores.  I will go 31-20 SC.

    • His physical attributes aren't going to change on a new team so I have no idea how he would pan out elsewhere but I can logically assume those issues he has had with processing which was supposed to be his key selling point before the draft would follow him. He was also supposed to be someone who thrives when the play breaks down but he has been inconsistent at best on that and at times horrific. I think where we each take a fork in the road on the determination of Bryce Young currently is you seem to still be treating him as a rookie and not a third year QB still repeating the same mistakes while showing that he has no arm talent to overcome even the slightest bit of adversity. I've said all along his rookie year and his sophomore season that I would be willing to overlook his interceptions if he was pushing the ball downfield consistently and even if he turned the ball over forcing a pass here and there to keep defenses honest I would accept it. But he has nothing. There is no deep passing game here. He threw the ball 55 times in Arizona which was 30 more times than Kyler Murray and only had a little over 100 more passing yards than him. Legitimately you should read that again and ponder it. That is embarrassingly atrocious. Circumstances here are not ideal with the WR's and OL but we cannot normalize this. It is horrendous. And we need to swallow our pride and begin scouting QB's for the 2026 draft. In the meantime this cannot continue on much longer for the sake of the locker room. And the upcoming schedule isn't going to get any better. If there is a silver lining to any of this we are going to find out just who Dave Canales really is throughout the rest of the season. He isn't getting a pass either.
    • I don't hate it but.....  eeeh it would take acquiring Kaprizov without giving up svech to make rod try Jarvis at 2C. Svechnikov/Aho/Kaprizov  Ehlers/Jarvis/Stankoven
    • Given the fact he declined buku bucks over on the HOF hockey board most don't think they will even get svech..... (not even canes fans) The $$$$ tag plus lack of leverage for Minny could end up seeing him dealt for somthing around what we got for Ranttanen....
