Our third and fourth rounders could prove to be the strength of this draft. Hope not-but if our first two picks reach their potential, it could be the first layer of the foundation.

And the best running back in college football--of course, if you defend the 3 WRs and focus on Brooks, his success could have been because he was not the first, second, third, or fourth concern.  We shall see.

Just dreaming…Not  having a #1 pick this year we have several lower round picks that could really prove to be finds. Hopeful.

I wouldn't lump him in with the bad...he's actually been pretty solid.  He's done well when asked to make things happen.  He's been on pretty awful teams and isn't probably a TE1, but he's pretty solid in many respects.  Some great TDs on limited snaps and targets.

I'm not bullish on Tremble for 2024, but it's a mischaracterization to say he's one of the bad apples here.  He's very much a Trey Burton-esque dude.

Anyhoo, here's to hoping we landed something in Sanders.  I said before, I'll say again, I see a better blocking Evan Engram when I watch him.

Actually, he was considered a weak TE for ND because he was almost exclusively used as a blocker. They used him in a lot of plays designed specifically for him. Usually with him motioning across the backfield when the ball was snapped. They rarely threw him the ball. That was the concern with teams drafting him. No one knew if he could catch.

I think Brooks fits in well with our 12 man offense. LBs will have to watch the TEs and Brooks, with his quickness he should be able to reach the 2nd level easily and have the potential for big runs. Plus he can catch the ball out of the backfield. I expect success from him receiving in the flats. I think we will also see Hubbard have a career season too. The contrast of their running styles could work well together.

Tremble and Thomas are guys who would be trying to cling to a roster as a third TE on most rosters. That's honestly just reality.

Sanders is the highest ceiling TE we’ve had since Greg, very excited about him. I hope Tremble can become a solid second TE, but don’t disagree with you.

    • Question to the posters on this thread because you are knowledgeable--I love watching and pull for the Canes, but I never played so I don't have the understanding I had when I played football then watched it.  Having said that, Do you think we are weak at Center?  I see the team to be pretty strong on the wings, promising defense, and weak at Goalie.  It would be ideal if the Canes had 1 more position to upgrade, not 2.  I don't think you can count on Anderson to play a full season and he is 35.  However, are we solid at Center in your view?
    • Couldn't agree more, Kooch is erratic and Freddy is fragile, maybe save the remaining cap space for a goalie stud at the deadline
    • There is one play that sold me-- it was around 2:38, I think.  It was 4th and 1 and the QB telegraphed and threw the ball out wide to TMac.  He had no blocking (the TE was very late) and four defenders collapsed on TMac behind the LOS. They seemed to know it was coming.  He got hit behind the LOS and battled through several hits to get three yards.  THAT play showed me his fire.
