Yeah he probably has better chemistry with Dalton with the whole 2nd team snaps thing. Also Raiders have zero tape on Dalton in the preseason but they know he wasn't afraid to chuck it up to AJ Green in Cincy or Olave in NO. You know their secondary is bummed, coaching staff had to spend their Tuesday day off writing a whole new defensive game plan lol.

Yes they thought this was gonna be a cake walk fresh off their last game. Raider fan podcasters are worried. Don't like bryce was benched.

Here is my new saying:

Better comes from good, worse comes from bad. You want good.

That's it.

They will feed off of some good. I hope.

The Raiders have zero film on Dalton and Canales/Idzik, Idzik said that Dalton has a huge vocabulary, play and concept wise, to draw from. (that's not a quote) It sounds like that is a literal 109 item buffet compared to a hot dog with mustard, analogy wise.

I think look for what the WRs are good at (got a big clue above in that video) If Dalton can truly execute even at a C+ NFL level there will be much more for everyone to work with.

I haven't felt any positive anticipation running up to Sunday since the 1st game of 2023. And wouldn't even call that positive, it was the unveiling of what the Bryce Young era would be, how it was going to look. Damned if it wasn't exactly how it was gonna look.

Really looking forward to viewing an NFL looking offense from our side.

I love it. My hope back in 2020 when it was apparent that Cam wasn't in the equation was that they'd bring in Jameis and let him wing it all over the place.

He is not a bad player all the time. And the overlooked upside of guys put under different coaches is they will have seen a lot. So they will get to the point they can get up to speed in a short-ish time with a variety of situations. I'm saying he is probably one of those guys.

That speech where he was eating his fingers or whatever the hell that was? That's my image when I think of him, can't help it. I wish he hadn't have dome that.

When you get your opportunities XL, don't drop the ball. 1st round pick WR is expected to be an immediate threat. Especially, when they trade up to get you.

You should be better than Chark and KB in their first years with the Panthers. You need to be better than Colbert in his first year. Definitely need to be better than Gettis and LaFell in their first years.

Clausen, LaFell and Gettis in 2010 looked better with Jeff Davidson calling the plays than Young, XL and Mingo with more experience and a better play caller.

2010 trio cost a 2nd, 3rd and 6th round pick. 2024 trio cost 4x 1st round picks and 2x 2nd round picks

Due to Young and Mingo, XL has to pay off bigger in his first season than any 1st or 2nd round WR the Panthers ever drafted to make up for this highly draft leveraged franchise.

I mean I know he the 2 fumbles in the first game, but we really don’t how good or bad mingo is considering he had Bryce throwing to him last year.

    • OK, fair enough--however, since my point was that drafting a QB in the top 10 is stupid, if you consider the players who were not drafted in the top 10 or those who WERE drafted in the top 10 and did not secure starting positions with the team that drafted them, you should see the point.  Is it smart to draft a QB in the top 10 when only 4 are still starting for the team that drafted them.  Next, consider that half of that number, 2, were drafted outside the first round.  Next, there are 4 (Goff, Mayfield, Jones, and Darnold) who are starting on other teams after busting.   That number could increase as Arizona seems ready to move on from Murray, Miami is not sold on Tua, and jacksonville is still waiting for Trevor to start looking elite.  Bryce?   So to answer your question, there are MANY more QBs in the NFL who have busted and become starters on other rosters, were drafted after day 1, or are still on the cusp than the four who have become elite.  I thought that point was made.
    • I’m more upset that we are changing uniforms in the middle of this road win streak. We have won our last 3 road games in Silver Helmets, White Jerseys, and Blue Pants. We are supposedly wearing Black Helmets, White Jerseys, Black Pants this week… I am a superstitious person
    • He did so well they are moving him to RB, Legette to QB, and Moton to TE…. Interesting. Coker might struggle at LT https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-release-depth-chart-ahead-of-week-12-for-the-2025-season
