I don't think his romantic life had much of an effect one way or another. He was playing awful regardless.

Thats what I was thinking too but you stated it much better than I could have.

Starting to think between his parents and school coddling him his whole life he's just shell shocked about being in the real world in general. Makes sense that he went home and just hunkered down all offseason to "get his mind off football" or whatever. Even during training camp on his birthday his parents were like in town (probably have an apartment for when he's there during the season I'm guessing) and his plans were to just go to dinner with his parents or something. Just seems real odd to me for a 23 year old to still be treated like a young teenager. If I had grown kids I'd be like get the fug out my house see you at Christmas, good luck getting your ass kicked for a while, lemme know if you need some help!

Eh, it isn't unusual.  Most of these athletes, if they aren't with someone they knew from HS or met in college, end up dating the same circle of people.  Just how it works.  You can include celebrities and musicians in there as well.

Agreed.

And honestly, if it was the girlfriend thing and it impacted his play to the extent some are implying, then the NFL is probably not for him.  The NFL is a demanding league where you live your life in the limelight, and if a girl impacts your ability to that extent, you should probably go celibate for a while.

Doesn't matter if he got dumped he just isn't an NFL QB he might be listed at 5'10 but I'd be shocked if he was taller than 5'8 weak arm short, is God awful at the two things he was supposed to be good at

      I watched a clip of all the offensive snaps. Young threw into some tight coverage and the guys made some plays on the ball. He also really missed some throws.  He has this middle of the field thing into a tight window pretty good and made three or four nice plays but he was just too inconsistent with his accuracy especially in the red zone. Today and in general.    That Int where people were chastising Legette for ‘not fighting through the coverage’, he in no way could have gotten to that ball. IMO. I think he thought it was going to hit the ground and didn’t see the defender coming for it. But not sure what he could have done. The camera doesn’t show the spatial relationship very well, I think the ball was way off. maybe 6 feet or more off target to the inside of the field.  Rico is a beast. And a very good receiver.   That was my impression without dissecting and rewinding, just letting the video roll. I did rewind the int two or three times to look at that one.

      My biggest issue with keeping Darnold, which I felt we should have done, is we would still have Fitterer. And everything that came with that.  I think Morgan is going to be good.  Baker, just did not play well at all here. Not sure what else we were supposed to take away from it at the time.  That’s my short ‘I don’t want to argue about it’ take.

      Even if we somehow make the playoffs we will be one and done so fast. Seattle, Rams, TB, Panthers, Detroit and Philly are all better than us.
