Worst of the offense

12. QB Andy Dalton: 59.2
13. RB Chuba Hubbard: 58.5
14. WR Jonathan Mingo: 54.6
15. TE Ja’Tavion Sanders: 51.6
16. TE Ian Thomas: 49.9

Dalton had a pair of ill-timed interceptions, with the first coming from the Atlanta 32-yard line while down by just eight points.

Sanders and Thomas were credited with a drop apiece.

Best of the defense

1. OLB Charles Harris: 78.0
2. CB Jaycee Horn: 72.3
3. DE T.J. Smith: 71.0
4. CB Troy Hill: 68.1
5. ILB Claudin Cherelus: 63.3

Harris recorded a team-high three pressures.

Horn allowed just the 3-yard touchdown reception to wideout Drake London over four targets on the day. He also broke up a pair of pass attempts.

Ian Thomas with a worse grade than Jonathan Mingo is so fitting for this franchise. Three regime changes and still going strong. The Panthers in a nutshell.

Thankfully they brought that back from IR instead of just leaving him there and moving on at the end of the year.

I guess in the end he makes Sanders look better so that's fun.

Best of the offense

1. LG Damien Lewis: 80.4
2. RG Robert Hunt: 77.9
3. C Brady Christensen: 76.0
4. WR David Moore: 74.8
5. RT Yosh Nijman: 68.0

The hog mollies put their hard hats on again, allowing just six pressures and zero sacks of quarterback Andy Dalton. They also paved the way for running back Chuba Hubbard, who rushed for 92 yards on 18 carries.

If you extend this list to the top six offensive grades for Carolina in Week 6, left tackle Ikem Ekwonu would join the group with an overall mark of 67.9.

The funny thing is that this includes all the penalties the OL group ended up with. Imagine if they were a little less sloppy how it would have been.

    • Who were we going to trade up with? The Dolphins wanted Proctor, the Rams were vehement on taking Ty Simpson, the Ravens wanted Ioane, and the Bucs werent trading with us except for maybe a kings ransom. Even if we wanted to move, we had no partner. Moot point.
    • Devin Lloyd is a stud lb but who is next to him? Prince and Nic should improve. Lee was super value but i am not counting this fourth round chicken yet. I would expect some improvement; hope to eat my words w/ a top ten D.
    • I mean I agree about diminished Cam probably still being viable. Even though it gave a preview of how teams would defend the pass against a limited QB. There was an issue with the upcoming contract he was due to get and his expectations vs the new reality of his physical status - that people tend to  overlook when looking back on it  It had an effect on things I believe   But I do have to ask… what about Tepper’s second major move? fuging clueless   I mean I would take even an injured  Cam over Bryce all day long.
