I mean DJ is cheaper and adams has like 38 million next yr with being 32 years old. 

Its a combo of many things. 

Jets are 2-4 and I doubt this makes much a difference, so that pick should be in 70s. WHile a KC 3rd should be in the 90s. 

The other deal to this is say DJ signs a big 25 million per deal on the open market(very possible). Well very likely unless the team sign someone to a similar deal, you get a 2026 3rd round comp (90s). Thats part of the issue too. 

My take is I doubt KC values Djohnson with his sus hands. I dont think hes been in a system that is close to Reids, so language and getting in sync with QB are huge problems.  

Dan has to know where players stand, he needs all the picks/lotto tickets possible.

I think a 4th is unlikely. Adams is a little different scenario price-wise because he had a very limited list of suitors. That always impacts trade value.

Ginn was the best we could do. It hurts we should have a championship in the Cam Newton era. We really let that man put the team on his back for multiple years and it cut his career short.

 

 

Broski, he had smitty, sure late stage prime smitty, but still. They couldnt get along cause CAm was too busy playing the role and smitty wanted playoff wins. 
 

Cam also had Greg olsen, who was a top TE for years. 

 

Everyone always acts like Cam and nothing else, which is fake news. He had a top tier Defense, 2 stud RBs, olsen, best IOL, and smitty. The GM used draft picks as well to aid him. He had more than enough, god dam shame he and luke couldnt win back-2-back seasons.

Cam was young. Prime Cam should have had a #1 WR.

 

Mahomes had Kelce and he also had Hill.

 

A TE wasn't enough. The media even discussed the lack of weapons Cam had during his career. This is not made up it's facts.

 

Ginn Jr. and Kelvin Benjamin was what they put around prime Cam. Just terrible!

      I agree with you, if all things are equal--assuming we are on the same page as to what that means.  If a DT and OT are there at 19 and you have them equal, which do you take? The DT would be rotational and get 25 snaps a game or so, and the OT is probably a reserve for most of the season.  What if Walker plays out of his mind and Ickey comes back strong? To me, there are just too many variables at T and Morgan met the needs for 2 starters.  Nothing about that screams lets "go OT in round 1" to me. I could see an Edge or a DT at 19 before I see OT.  I could see a TE or S before an OT--and I (personally) would rather have an OT over DT, Edge, TE, or S--but I do not see the logic.  In fact, CB is a position that resembles OT--who do we have behind our starters and are we happy with Smith-Wade?  A CB would be on the field more than a reserve OT.  How is the Walker at LT situation different than the the Bryce situation? He is basically on a 1-year deal and if he is injured, Forsythe becomes Pickett.  Would you take Simpson in the draft?  Dont get me wrong--I usually agree with you  and I get your point.  I am an OL guru--but I just do not see this particular group of Tackles making us better than Walker.  In addition, I think we can address OT once the Ickey situation clears up.  Short arms, poor run blocking, issues with strength--I am simply not impressed with the OTs.

      The natural progression of ANY QB is to take more control of the offense.  Which is all Dave said. He doesn't have a narrative to push. He is says what is the natural thing to say in this situation whether it's Bryce, or any other QB.  THE THREAD TITLE ALONE TWISTS THE NARRATIVE.   so yes, many of you refuse to acknowledge anything other than your screwed perspective, for whatever reason, when it comes to Bryce.  Y'all have a great Easter.

      Players drafted after 19 in his mock that I would take before the WR: Monroe Freeling OT, Ty Simpson QB, Dillon Thieneman S, CJ Allen ILB.  I don't mind that TE in round two but Caleb Lomu OT and Brandon Cisse CB would also be good value.    EssentiallySports
