Was Thanksgiving. Think it was Romo's last start.

Yep thanksgiving. Luke and Coleman both got themselves an INT against Romo and Thomas Davis caused Romo to take his last snap.

I still remember that Dallas was favored in that game when that team was undefeated 11-0 to that point. Was a beyond satisfying win.

He was the best linebacker I ever saw. An absolute freak of nature with a high motor that played the game smarter than everybody else. I was fortunate enough to be close enough to hear him on several occasions during games, and it's true what they say. He knew what was coming and called it out correctly often. When he spoke, everyone listened.

This shouldn't even be a discussion. Luke was all but universally praised by his peers and pundits as an absolute cerebral menace that could both blow up run plays and pick off passes. He set the bar for linebackers high enough that I dare say no one since then has been able to match.

The only reason he wouldn't get in as a 1st ballot is he didn't play long enough. He'll get in. Just maybe not as a 1st ballot. If they would have won the Superbowl in 2015, then it would be a lock.

Patrick Willis just got in 1st ballot with the same length of a career.

And as good as Willis was, Luke was better in every way and has a DPOY and 1 more all pro team than him. He is one of the most obvious first ballot guys there is. If he doesn’t get in first ballot it would be a travesty

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
