Positive signs from Bryce

He had two good nfl passes. They still have to be the sideline because he can’t make second or third lvl throws over the middle. Because he can’t read defenses.

that lagette play was a good play, they just didn’t connect. Not sure if it was the sun or not.

other lagette ball was just overthrown. Bruce struggles with deep ball accuracy because he has to put so much physical motion into the passes.

highest thing with Bryce is he just does not have a feel for the game around him. Running out of bounds? Two delay of games in three plays? The first was out of a four yard run. How does that happen?

the broncos played a very simple defense for most of the game. There weren’t a lot of blitzes, no exotic coverages. I believe the panthers are fully in “tune up game” territory. No one wants to put anything on tape against us because they don’t need to do anything special to win.

I think the best takeaway from this is our wr can consistently beat 1v1 coverage against good wr.

I may be in minority but I saw some positive signs from Bryce today

he stood in the pocket a lot more and threw despite the pressure, attempted throws downfield, showed better command and poise

Negatives; inconsistent accuracy, terrible timing of interceptions, needs to be more aggressive downfield.

i expected a worse performance tbh, he looked improved compared to first two weeks but not sure if he deserves more starts.

part of me wants to see if he can build off this, maybe I’m crazy

Stood in the pocket?    The fug you talking about?

Sorry, but you are wrong.  We sold the farm for the guy, we don't have 4 years for him to be "ready".  The dude does not have the required physical talent to play in this league, and until we all accept it, we will be constantly miserable.

I guess the threshold for me is can we play Bryce and still evaluate other players. After today I felt there was enough to justify playing him and seeing if he can build on it and develop. Make a decision in the offseason whether to release him or draft or sign another vet QB.

People are going to hate on you. Yea garbage time helped his numbers, but he’s still out there as a young guy throwing it to young guys with a young guy calling the shots. Context matters. He looked competent just play him.

Looked better than Dalton vs a much better defense. At least next week it’s the depleted saints D. Might as well throw him out there.

Looks are deceiving.  After the first drive, Bryce was shut down, until the Broncos decided to go to a keep it in front of us defense.  His last interception was one of the worst throws I have seen this year.

While I think Bryce will never be a successful franchise QB in the NFL, I do think he looked better today. One thing that really hurt his game today were several ill timed penalties and the big drop by Legette on what appeared to be a well orchestrated drive.

I thought the first INT was due to a bad throw. I thought the 2nd INT was the result of great play by the CB.

This is the last thing we needed.

Enough with the half measures and praise of garbage time stats.

He played 4 quarters and didn't complete a pass over 20 yards until near the end of the 3rd quarter. Then he threw an interception.

One final drive when the game was over by 2 full possessions doesn't change anything.

I missed it but get the vibe this mighta killed any trade momentum we may have had? It’s like worst case scenario

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
