My biggest takeaway from this game is we have a real WR in Jalen Coker

Coker definitely looks like a keeper. He looks impressive despite being on the worst team in the NFL. It’s amazing that this kid was undrafted.

I missed it but get the vibe this mighta killed any trade momentum we may have had? It’s like worst case scenario

Probably.

Only Panthers fans are performing mental gymnastics over this game.

I mean at least the Kyle Allen foolishness was a result of him actually playing pretty well over the course of a few entire games. This is like if Kyle Allen was largely dogshit over the course of an entire season plus 3 more starts but capped off the last start with a garbage time touchdown drive.

The cope is wild.

I actually agree given the circumstances. Had a couple great intermediate passes to Coker & XL, just missed XL deep, the first int was a mix of him and Tremble timing off but it was easily catchable, second int was underthrown and a great defensive play.

I dunno, it was obvious the gameplan was to get the ball out quickly against the defense leading the league in sacks, so I wasn’t too shocked that they weren’t trying long developing routes.

While I think Bryce will never be a successful franchise QB in the NFL, I do think he looked better today. One thing that really hurt his game today were several ill timed penalties and the big drop by Legette on what appeared to be a well orchestrated drive.

I thought the first INT was due to a bad throw. I thought the 2nd INT was the result of great play by the CB.

The interception was due to a great play. But the throw itself was bad. If the defender didn't turn around, it hits him in the back.  It was to low, and it would have taken a Randy Moss type receiver to catch it.

    • I did not want to start or even think about *if* BY reverts back to pre-non last 9 games.   There is a lane in which Panthers are looking QB after this season, I feel its higher than most will realize. I mean....not kidding... has any team ever traded up to 1st overall twice in the teams history? I don't even want to think within 3 years, just foresee Tepper squeezing Dans and Brandts sacs to the point were they are forced to trade up for a another savior.....   The kicker is I feel this way with BY playing good-great..... I think there with be non-fixable problems for contract negotiations between BY&reps vs Panthers org on the whole. You can not pay 50+ million per over few years with 70% guarantees for 3,303 yards 15 TDs and 9 INTs......Cursed I tell you....
    • It's not surprising, but it's still surprising that many of these guys don't manage their money in such a way that provides them and their families a better lifestyle than most for the rest of their lives without even working a nine-to-five. I can't imagine making over a 100 mil for a decade and ultimately ruminating about supporting my family due to financial issues.
    • That why i mentioned the KC dynasty. Those three different playoff loses were not Allens fault, in fact 1-2 plays and Bills win. KC just have better players and better coaches and more luck.  Defense-wise, Bills have been trying to crack the Reid-Halhomes magic. Its near impossible with rules and KC home field advantage. Spags has started to force the league in naming him the best DC in NFL history. I agree if you take away Bill bielacheat.... Add in Andy Reid the best QB coach and brilliant play designer/play-caller, I mean that's too much for one QB to over-come on his own.  Just trolling or not, bad is bad scot. Allen is legit as any one QB has ever been.
