After watching BY9 all of last year and a few games this year, I’m amazed by any other QB where any other QB is so accurate, possesses such a strong arm, is so mobile and athletic, etc. I find myself falling in love with any QB just because it’s not Bryce.

I have that as well and I'm pretty sure there is some psychological diagnosis that could be labeled on us for that just don't know what they call it....I just call it "Bryce Syndrome". It's almost like when you have gone without a woman in a while on a severe dry spell and the slutty ugly chick at the bar with chipped teeth who smells like wet dog that nobody wants to touch ends up looking like a perfect 10 and you take her home and think you just took home prime Jessica Alba.

The guy is big. He looks like a Rothlisberger in the pocket.  Many of his completions came from being under pressure and having guys in his face.

Hell, i'm so damaged in my brain by getting behind and having hope for Bryce when drafted even though concerned by his size the being hugely let down that any big QB now looks enticing to me to draft which I know isn't a good mindset

I find it more like now that I have been forced to watch Young so much it isn’t as much of a shock to my senses.
Desensitized they call it.

For real, it just looks normal almost now. Where the first game of 2023 I wasn’t sure what I was looking at it was so out of bounds for NFL type play. I literally couldn’t make sense of what I had seen vs Atlanta that first week.

Allar was Top 3 for me entering the season. Now, I have him about 5th.

He's a 2nd Rounder.

Big guy, strong arm, but man he makes some wild decisions sometimes. His upside is to develop into a Josh Allen type, but he could just as easily be a Paxton Lynch.

He has 4 ints this year and is throwing 71% completetion vs top 25 with a qb rating of 125.  What wild decisions are you talking about?  He is also building off of a pretty good 2023 season which is encouraging to see.

Is this the QB you were comparing to Peyton Manning last weekend?

That in itself was a joke!

    • Lions were never going Freeling over Miller for the same reason we wouldn't have taken Miller had Freeling not been on the board. Miller is a career RT Lions have a hole at RT, we have a hole at LT. If we took Miller, it would have been for him to backup Moton until he retires and/or we release him, so the best case scenario is it would have been a wasted 1st round pick for at least 1, if not 2 years.  At least Freeling has a shot at playing this year without injury ahead of him, he absolutely can win the LT job if he earns it, but Miller would have never supplanted Moton this year unless he got hurt.
    • What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.    Cheers, genitals!
    • This is a weird post since it wasn’t like we got A’s across the board. We needed a QB and got a consensus top 2 player at that position. (I was pretty vocal that Stroud should’ve been the guy but…)  I think this draft we generally got better value. I’m not particularly optimistic on BY but another year in this offense playing with TMac he really needs to be a consistently average QB at a minimum
