When did Brady play for the Panthers?

He didn’t!

Cam beat Brady both times when he beat him as a Patriot.

Brady didn’t ever beat Cam when he was the main Quarterback as Brady was in New England.

I think some of that is Bill Belichick often struggled w/ QBs who play outside of a set structure and could ad lib.   Watson had a lot of success vs Bill.  Cam did.  Think Lamar has.

Hard to say because Buffalo has had a much better oline and, prior to this year, much better WRs.

All I can say is that it was a crime with how little talent we gave Cam on offense after year 1. He had Olsen and a couple years of CMC and that is it... all while having a somewhat good oline for 1, maybe 2, years.

That being said, Josh Allen seems like a good dude and hope he does well. I can get behind Buffalo winning a Superbowl, especially since they have taken so much of our sloppy seconds the past 5ish years

Josh Allen would've gotten his head turned into a piñata too. When a team is allowed to flat out target your QB in spite of the fact that targeting the head of the QB was THE officiating focus that season, what are you to do?

Well, in hindsight after the second or third one went uncalled one of our OL should've just taken Von Miller out. I'm not for dirty play but if the refs aren't going to protect your QB from dirty play then the OL needs to do their job and protect their QB. I just really don't believe they thought that the refs were going to flat out refuse to throw those flags all night long.

And add on retarded Mike Shula asking Remmers to block Von Miller 1-on-1 the entire game... Easily one of the worst called offenses I have ever seen in a Superbowl by an OC

Allen is the better passer... but it took him at least 3 years to get there. Cam was working on that but the shoulder injury ended that effort. I'd give Cam the slight edge from a scrambling standpoint. Don't really factor in playoff success since there's outside factors at play. For example, Allen may have more on the offensive side to help him, but he doesn't have a Luke on defense.

Most importantly, however, is that I often find comparisons between current and former players to be a bit unfair. Current players are often inspired by who they idolized growing up and want to be much like them and, sometimes, end up being better than them.

Allen. He is going to break all of Cam's records. And by "Cam's records", I mean the ones people use to say Cam was so great/different. But Allen has more tools than that. You won't hurt your Panther fandom to admit Allen is a better QB.

Today's game should be a reminder that, no. Just no.

But also, like Cam always says on his show "4th and 1, where I. ALWAYS. GOT. IT. DONE"

He got there because Clete wasn't the ref until the super bowl.

Allen was unfortunate enough to get Clete to job him in the championship game (Allen got the first and there is no way in Hell that Worthy caught the jump ball).

lame excuses

    • Didn't  see this posted (since 2023) but since folks have been posting that you can't judge a draft class for three years (a ridiculous take), I thought I'd post this to see what people thought about the 2023 draft. Unfortunately this may not be the most interesting class to do this with but I do quite like retrospective draft grades. Would appreciate other's takes on this (and other recent) draft classes.   1(1) - Bryce Young QB: I am a bigger Bryce Young apologist than most (maybe all). I like the kid. But there is no way around it: This was a terrible pick. If he had been picked in the 4th or even the 3rd round I would feel pretty good about it. But this was the first overall pick that we gave up two firsts, our best offensive player to get.  GRADE: C -    2(39) - Jonathan Mingo WR: not much to say here here. He was here for two years. His yards per catch are on par with Bryce's yards per pass. Rough stuff. To date he has still never scored a touchdown in the NFL GRADE: F   3(80) - DJ Johnson OLB: a pick I hated as soon as it happened and an example of why the premise of this thread is honestly dumb. This was a bad pick when it happened. Most people knew it.  Then came training camp and he did not look good. Then came the preseason which confirmed what we saw in TC. Then came the season which confirmed what we saw in preseason. To date, he has half a sack in his career. GRADE: F 4 (114) Chandlers Zavala G: Honestly the best pick of this draft which really speaks to how awful this draft is. Other than Bryce, the only pick still on the team. He is mostly average or below average depth which in round 4 is not terrible. But he had a pff score of 43.5 and though I think people have unrealistic expectations for draft picks, I still would want a little more from a fourth round pick GRADE: C+   5 (145) - Jammie Robinson S: I liked the pick when it happened but ended up being a disappointment. He logged 1 tackle with the falcons last year and not enough snaps to get a grade on PFF.  GRADE: F OVERALL DRAFT GRADE: F
