Who we watching here?

Derrick Brown tore his meniscus game 1. 6-9 months he should be good to go

Shaq TBD if he will be on the team next year but torn Achilles. 9-12 months and at his age I’ll assume a full year. Prob don’t see him until October if he’s back

XL wrist surgery. 10-12 weeks. Should be good for TC but sucks he will miss time he needs to be on the jugs on his own.

Tevin Wallace shoulder surgery but I don’t know what for. It doesn’t seem serious so I’ll go 8-12 weeks. Back for TC

Corbett TBD if he comes back but torn bicep is a long one. Going to say 10 months. Might be ready for pre season but I doubt it.

Brooks is what it is. May not see him until 2026

Corbett and Shaq might not be back. everyone else outside of Brooks looks okay for start of the year. Who else we missing?

I'm counting on having Brown, XL, and Wallace being ready to go.

Everyone else are likely either gone or should have the expectation of having a reliable fallback option in place. Neither of our current centers are starter-worthy and I can't trust Corbett at this point, so I'm inclined to say that's the priority.

If Shaq wants to.come back and be reasonable with his contract, hard to be upset over that. His leadership is missed.

Of course I am not an insider or expert, but he small for an ILB--I think his body is going to continue getting injured because he is worn out--even a team-friendly deal would not be worth the risk, imo.  I met his after otas (he was late--Washington was on quarter system) and he looked like a strong safety--I am guessing 5'11" and 220 then.  I think he is under 230 now.  I am not sure his body is not already telling him to retire....Just my guess--I see your point.

I'm not moving on from him.

Just saying a team friendly deal is fine.

I'm not going to begin to guess his weight. He has beenna good linebacker for us, an even better leader.

If the coach wants him back, I'm 💯 all for it.

Will be interest8ng what happens after the season ends as far is coaching is concerned.  Will provide a better picture come free agency.

I remember watching him commit live at the army all American game back in the day to Washington. He was a safety then

I'd love for Shaq to come back on a team friendly deal. I also think at this point Jewell may be better than a twice injured Shaq and Trevin needs to be the starter of the future. Would he be willing to be depth? Just be a good role model in the locker room and play when needed?

    • I'm super excited about the guys we're getting back, and fortunately this year, outside of Robert Hunt, we haven't had any season-threatening injuries. Rico has earned the start, but I am excited to have both available.  The team is finally turning into the run-first team Canales said he wanted to be. As for JT Sanders, I think he has lost the most be being out. He is probably our best receiving TE, but with the emergence of Mitchell Evans & with him and Tommy Tremble both absolutely balling in run blocking, it will be hard to fix something that isn't broken. I'm hoping Turk Wharton can help with our pass rush. We really havent gotten to see him much due to injuries, but we desperately need anyone to provide some pass rush juice, which is what he was brought to do. I'm the most excited about Jalen Coker returning. Theilen may have been the most clutch last year, but I've watched a lot of film, and Coker was the most consistent WR we had when he was out there last year.  I think he can be an ideal #2 to Tmac. While Coker doesn't have the raw athleticism XL does, his route running, savvy, and overall football IQ simply make him better.  I think with the fact Coker can play both outside and in the slot will give our pass game more versatility.  We have been running a lot of 2 TE sets, and I think Tmac & Coker should be the primary WRs for 12 personnel. The other WRs (XL, Tremayne, Renfrow, & Horn) all have roles, but I dont think any of them can fully replace what Coker can do. I do think Renfrow will be inactive this week if everyone is healthy bc of how valuable Tremayne is for ST and as a run blocker. So happy that we are playing meaningful football heading into November. We are still almost certainly a year away, but we are absolutely moving in the right direction
    • Better than a fragile starter, though
