Horn.   Doubtful    couldn’t practice today   Dane Jackson here or for smith wade

Moton.   Out.     Chisson (sp) will replace him,  not Brady

Josie   Out.    Chandler maybe

Chau smith wade   Out

I couldn’t catch all the names filling in …linebackers are well…you know.

dave better do a whole lot of successful clock eating in his play calling

Playing

Talks about Pete Carroll possibly becoming Bears Hc  said would be great for the Bears

Chuba Hubbard (knee) is questionable but expected to play in Week 17 against the Buccaneers.
Head coach Dave Canales said after Friday’s practice that the team expects Hubbard to play in Week 17 despite the questionable designation. The Panthers’ RB1 will be in line for another solid workload for this week’s fantasy championship matchups and should be fired up in all formats as a fringe RB1/RB2.

Xavier Legette (wrist/hip) is questionable for Week 17 against the Buccaneers.
Despite being listed as questionable, head coach Dave Canales has said the plan is for Legette to play against the Buccaneers. The rookie receiver hasn’t found the end zone since Week 9 and hasn’t had a top-24 PPR week since Week 4. With Adam Thielen also back and soaking up targets, It’s hard to view Legette as anything more than a WR5 at this time.

Evans would have had a big day even with Horn playing. If nothing else, all they had to do was line him up on the other side of the field opposite Horn.

Yes and when Canales was asked why he doesn't put horn on Evans all day, he basically said because that's too complicated.

He discussed movements and shifts how horn moving with Evans pre snap will change everyone's assignments...

    • I’m just not seeing it. Falcons are better than the previous two teams we faced and the Panthers unlike most teams do not really play better at home than on the road
    • I don’t know about this one. Looking at his touches in week 2, there are still 3 plays I can find where he had an easy 2-3 yards upfield and somehow turned it to a race to the sideline for no gain or negative yardage. He was putting us in 2nd and 11 vs 2nd and 7. It doesn’t seem like much, but an NFL WR has to know to get upfield. You will break one eventually.
    • Despite what reports say, I still think Tepper is influencing football decisions.  We certainly heard about this during the Reich short era...ie - the Monday morning meetings.  There are too many consistent inconsistencies still going on to not think he is still too much involved.  New coaches, new GMs....same results.  The offense looks the same under Canales as it did under Rhule, Brown and Reich. The only time the offense has looked different was when Wilkes moved to a power run game for 6-7 games.  But it was clear Wilkes would not have wanted BY....probably a big reason why he was not retained.   The defense was actually better under Snow but he had better players and it was not a great defense.  But the defense has gotten much worse as they lost key players (Luvu, Chinn, Burns & etc) but did not replace them with even average talent.  The defense was never really strong since the 3-4 defense was pushed on Rivera by Tepper. I think Tepper pushed for BY too.  Now Canales is stuck with a QB that does not fit his system.  The last 7-years of Panthers football can be traced back to when Tepper bought the team.
