As sad as it is to say you may be right. I thought Boone at least knew where to line up and how to block. Turns out he knew neither.

Maaaaan... I had the same experience re: Boone 😞

Didn't expect him to set the game on fire but was hoping for some more fun moments. Seeing him get toasted in pass pro brought me back down to earth quick.

Eight players were listed as non-participants for Wednesday’s practice, one of the team’s last before this weekend’s regular-season finale against the Atlanta Falcons.

Starting cornerback Jaycee Horn, who continues to deal with a hip injury, was among the eight men who were out this afternoon. The former eighth overall pick, in his first absence of 2024, missed last week’s 48-14 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Running back Miles Sanders, on the other hand, was able to get back to the practice field today after missing the last six games due to an ankle sprain. The Panthers officially designated his return prior to the session.

The team also signed veteran defensive end DeShawn Williams from the practice squad and placed outside linebacker Amaré Barno on injured reserve.

The team added outside linebackers Thomas Incoom and Kenny Dyson from the practice squad by standard elevation to add depth there.

They were down to three on the active roster, with Barno ruled out and DJ Johnson placed on the reserve/non-football injury list on Friday.

However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup.
