Garrett Wilson eyeing Bryce Young

Recommended Posts

Wilson or DK Metcalf. I think one of the two could be had this offseason, just a matter of price.

If Thielen DOES retire? We're going to need to make some kind of splash. As much attention as the defense needs, need to make sure Bryce has a guy.

You have clearly lost your mind if you think a late 2nd will be enough

Yeah we're looking at the 8th pick and maybe more...

Still, I think GW is better than any receiver in the draft and if you're ever going to try to make a move like this, now is the right time.

Still highly unlikely unless GW is willing to push this to the limit with the Jets.

DM should absolutely inquire, but while this is exciting, very little chance it actually happens IMHO

We need defensive help too bad to give up #8. Pull off some Kevin Costner poo...

1. Trade down with Dallas, go to 12 and pick up their 2nd.

2. Trade two 2nds this year for Garrett Wilson

3. Draft whichever Georgia Edge/End is at 12.

Profit

Idk man. Rodgers makes the Jets a poo show. We're in a position to take the division next year.

No we're not. Until that defense breaks into the top 15 this team will be up and down next season. You cannot expect them to win every shootout and defenses will catch onto Canales scheme and Youngs tendencies. Getting to .500 next year will be a good season from where I sit. FA and the draft will have a lot to do with my confidence in that.

It would definitely take our 1st rounder + more. And the more isn’t day 3 picks. He isn’t even 25 yet i don’t think and is very talented. Why would the jets do this?

plus we aren’t one WR away. We can’t afford to give up more assets. Especially when we aren’t even 100% sure on bryce.

8th and a 3rd at least.  Maybe more.   Then you have to pay him.   Just draft tmac at that point

I normally would agree, but we have XL & Coker on rookie deals and Theilen is gone after next year.

Point being we're not spending a lot on WR at this point and could fit a GW contract

The draft compensation is hefty, but this offense needs a true #1 WR and they're not easy to find. GW is proven.

Do you think Tmac is a sure enough bet to forego trading for a WR?

I haven't watched enough of Tmac to have an educated opinion

    • I want to see our passing offense operate at a level that isn't marginally better than when Jimmy Clausen was QB. There's a whole world of middle ground between that and throwing for 400 yards every game. If you can't handle that the problem is you.
    • Teams are putting things like this on social media for better or worse it isn't limited to just being at our expense. That's social media now. As far as the play it does not appear intentional. If it was we would know it when we see it given our history. Honestly Bryce is lucky he is playing in this era I legitimately don't think he would have survived 15 or 20 yeara ago compared to what is considered roughing the passer now.
    • Honestly, they've been playing at the level of their opponents. That can be maddening at times, but it's working for us now.  We were better against Dallas than the score shows. Let's hope we can do the same with Buffalo, just do enough to stay one scoring opportunity ahead of them. Our best shot there is that the game becomes an ugly slugfest dictated by the running backs and that we somehow keep Josh Allen bottled up. This is probably our toughest test of the entire season. If we squeak out a win somehow, then Canales and (I can't believe I'm saying this) Evero deserve some serious kudos. Still, on that defensive ranking, we're buoyed greatly by playing the Jets last week.
