I'm getting his jersey.

that would be cool.  I want to get a Hoover Jersey--I dont want to spend $30 (weal NFL jewsees friend) or $200 for a jersey everyone else has--Make it a conversation piece.  Not a "one and done" vet either.  Nice call.

Gotta put Kasey up there, too.

I honestly thought about that--however, his kickoff with the score tied in Super Bowl 38 that gave Tom Brady the ball on the 40 yard line with about 2 minutes to go kept me from it.

Can a long snapper play until they're 50+?

Maybe in this era. A few played until low 40s. The hardest part becomes running down the field. I know JJJ took his body shape more serious that year Rhule drafted his replacement. He's carried that new body since.

I remember Tim Wakefield pitching until 43, he was a knuckleballer and his MPH didn't matter. He still could pitch and get outs, the one thing at did him in was fielding his spot. Once teams knew, you bunt and get a free base due to the pitcher being unable to get the ball in a timely matter.

JJJ can play until he is viewed as a weakness or liability.

There's all sort of petides, roids, stem cells, and other meds that are reversing aging too. It's possible, very very low odds tho.

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
    • They also came out for the encore and the singers were dressed in canes jerseys. Pretty fuging cool.
