I am a little miffed at the Warren hype. Good prospect but the top 10 stuff is crazy, to me.

I've said it before, I view him as being a level below Bowers. That said, in this weak top of the draft, he's good enough to be one of the few blue chippers. In a more stacked draft, Warren would bottom half of the first round at best.

he's not even gonk, who was a 2nd rounder.

he was able to muscle his way and the defenses only had one speed quick guy. NFL everyone is strong and everyone is fast&quick. I think he's going struggle hardcore.

Maybe. Won't know until he plays in the NFL

We missed out on Williams so we ended up with two guys in Wharton and Bobby Brown who combine to replicate the skill set Williams has.  Wharton has pass rush moves but is weaker against the run and Brown is true nose tackle.

It's a solid plan B after missing out on Williams.  More personal groups and less versatility but probably better in core run defense.

Better time of possession, a safety who excels at run stopping, and better personal fits and I'm liking what the run defense is shaping up to be.  I remember reading somewhere that Fangio's system can take a bit to develop a strong run D as it is a complex system.

So we go into the draft doing what we should do.  Take the best football player regardless of position.  We need great players.  I would ideally move down because we are probably getting 1 starting level guy in this draft unless we get an early second

He’s going to be a starter for us and is still young. Next season the cap explodes and he will be much lower on that list with the new contracts coming out. Wait to see how he plays before getting pissed, we turned out okay after investing in the line last season

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
