True, but you know full well it's the guys with the injury history that this gets talked about with.

Yes, that is true. It's just I don't worry about it unless it's same or similar injuries.   We don't have a single player on our roster that fits THAT description.

Well, there is that guy that we traded up to draft in the 2nd round last year...

Possibly so but that doesn't really change what I said.

Ranking WRs is so subjective and especially for rookies.  I think Coker, Legette, and Sanders are solid options that I expect to be much improved in year 2.  Go grab another vet WR in free agency and let's let the young guys eat.  No way are our offensive weapons in the bottom 5.  Sorry, but I don't agree with this.

Well….it would be hard to actually write down 5 teams with worse weapons in reality presently and not factoring what folks might become

We are just going to disagree. I think that if you looked at a metric(PFF or maybe AV) you would find us in the bottom 5. Also if you did a subjective look at over all rosters and compare them to our WR corps, you are going to have a very difficult time making an argument against this being a bottom 5 unit.

Because of the youth, there is definitely upside but AT, XL and Coker are not scaring anyone overall.

I'm struggling to find a WR corp that is worse than ours unfortunately. Every team has a #1 WR, we don't have one. Maybe the Jags?

Perhaps you are correct but it has been a long time since the Panthers had a WR core that scared anyone and this could be part of the problem.  They finally found someone with Moore and the fans complained nonstop that he wasn't a true number 1 and perhaps the front office agreed and why he was traded.  If Warren is there at number 8, that's going to be the pick.

I agree. It is a position that has been dramatically mismanaged. Our draft selections have been fuging horrifying. TMJ, Mingo, XL, etc. We just keep making the same mistakes over and over. All in effort to replace a top 20 WR which....we had and traded away. Meanwhile, we fumble the "off limits" player in Brian Burns and get almost nothing for him. Unreal.

I know people are really attached to the Warren idea(I really dislike it) but I do think we arw aggressively telegraphing that we probably take an EDGE at 8.

Their rookie finished the season #3 in receiving yards.

I don't know who all makes up the bottom 5.  But I know 99% of folks are going to have Carolina and New England in their list

    • They are 1 and 9 against the  Bucs in the past 10 games. the Panthers go as young goes.  QB1 ‘s are suppose to dictate and overcome  and elevate Everything the QB does affects every part of the team and Bryce is uneven. Canales and Bryce have  an uneven relationship too  as for Evero, the only thing that might save him is the injury to Baker’s left shoulder and oline injuries. I don’t even know how he is out there   I really feel their season ended last Sunday Canales’ division record isn’t great   Getting owned by the Saints and Bucs isn’t a good look
    • Frankly surprised by the amount of people that want to hang Evero. This was a defense that was almost universally considered the bottom of the barrel before this season started. We’ve managed to stat our way to the middle of the pack whatever that means. Those critical of the zone schemes, what do you want? When even JC is getting burnt one on one by Olave you have little choice. There definitely have been moments where the zone blitz stuff has bit us. That said, are the third string linebackers (and nick Scott) covering poo anyway? This unit had only conceded 10 points going into the fourth quarter despite a litany of bullshit penalties on both sides. Them over performing is the biggest reason we are still in playoff contention.
