Tee Higgins Smoke...

Recommended Posts

To keep this in perspective, Tee is never going to be better than he is right now.  Across from Chase, one of the best QBs in the NFL who just came off his best year....His stock is HIGH.  Here, he'd face the #1 CBs-in Cincy, he was facing the #2.

Pay for prime rib, get chuck steak if you want.

I'm pretty sure he killed it in games Chase was inactive

He's not worth what it would cost plus the record setting contract. If we were going to just throw the kitchen sink at a Bengals WR it would be Chase. But that's never going to happen.

Agreed....why give the farm for a teams second best receiver.

Good point--I need to go back and look, but I believe you.  He still had Joe Cool as his qb...and I would imagine (I will look, not guess) that he got more targets.

Absolutely not.

I never thought he was going to be worth the cost of the contract we'd have to give him to be able to sign him.  Adding in what the Bengals are going to want in return for him and I'm WAY out.

I still think he's more of an elite #2 than a #1 and he has trouble staying healthy, just a hard pass for me.

It's wild to me that people would be okay with trading for Higgins and giving him a monster contract, but not drafting T-Mac who is a similar type of player but is younger, will be cheaper, and is going to be better than Higgins in short order anyways.  People here seem to be afraid of T-Mac's speed, but don't want to look up that Higgins ran a 4.59 himself, even if he plays faster, he's no burner.

It's the ultimate boom or bust move outside of a major QB trade.

Can you imagine Higgins and Tyler Warren though...

"At this point, it appears that Higgins will sign a multi-year deal with the Bengals or will play another season under the franchise tag. Either way, the odds are that Higgins will not be leaving Cincinnati in 2025 unless he decides to take matters into his own hands (i.e. a holdout)." (5 hours ago)

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
