People keep propping up school tape like it's amazing when projecting the play to the NFL. This is what a school freak looks that dominates school players and will be a 100% stud in the NFL.

It's cool that these guys played well in school but show me 1 guy in this draft who is this talented? That is what dominance looks like. We got a shot at some solid football players but damn the hype for these guys needs to go to the level it really is and not where some of yall want it to be.

I want a WR actually willing to do agility drills. I want to draft a receiver that is actually fast at stopping and starting. We've spent 15 years drafting big guys that run fast in a straight line and/or jump real high. Give me a guy that can get open in a phone booth over a guy that needs a runway.

Yep, exactly.  In the NFL these days you need quick shifty receivers that get open running their routes.  Separation is key.  We keep drafting wr's like it's 1999 and we are just going to throw deep balls in to double coverage, when the modern NFL defense is a shell that focuses on stopping over the top passes.  We literally keep trying to build to what the rest of the NFL has already figured out and learned exactly how to stop.  The same with chasing the seahawks and legion of boom defense always.

Kinda puzzling to me because of how weak the top of the class is.  If he's Drake London, that's gotta be a pretty good pick out of this class right?  London was selected 8 overall and PFF had him ranked as the 7th best receiver last year.

If you line him up versus his common comparisons - Drake London is a bit better after the catch and Michael Pittman a bit better at out powering DBs for jump balls. You take those away and it’s a solid guy, but unsure if teams see enough that helps them really elevate their offenses.

      But that's the point, if the locker room feels that way, then you're going to upset them by still keeping Bryce around and playing him over the Top 10 pick. Again, it goes one of 3 ways... 1. Bryce plays well enough to earn an extension 2. Bryce still sucks and we draft his replacement who starts Week 1 with a new QB as his backup 3. Bryce still sucks, we draft his replacement in the 1st, but they start the season backing up a new vet QB who was brought in to be his mentor. With an OUTSIDE chance at a 4th option where Bryce plays well enough to convince the team to let him play out the 5th year option and then make a decision.  Which I can't see it happening, but there is still a non zero chance of that happening I guess. The only way we draft a QB next year and still have Bryce on the roster, is if we're taking someone in the middle rounds hoping to develop them as a long term backup to Bryce.

      I hear you. But I am not absolving Legette just because he is from my neck of the woods or anything else.  Tge comment was more about the fans uneven application of blame.  I do agree that there is a noticeable disconnect between him and the QB and that he might do better with a more polished and capable delivery man.  Abd don’t feel that they used XL right, or at least how I expected it to look.  And that could be a function of a reticent WB that shies away from that style of attack. I mean it was either him or Canales that pretty much eliminated downfield from the playbook - even while we see guys running free at times. It Could work if they commit to it.  Whoever isn’t committing.

      Lot of passion there.  Look, if Bryce plays down to the level that we feel the need to draft a QB high, you don’t think the locker room might be ready for anything that helps them win?   There are s lot of angles to this that could come into play depending on what happens this year.
