Yes, Clausen should start the rest of the season...

Kind of sucks for Jimmy though that he will have to learn another offense next season.

If the Cheifs keep winning it might be Charlie Weis. Heard it here first! (Insert "no ways" here lol.)

The big reason why I believe Clausen should start this week - other than the fact that he is the future - is that he is moving the ball down the field (aside from the tipped interception) without taking significant reps with the starters during practice. If he gets a full week with the starters this week and is actually part of the game plan, things will look much better. I actually thought Clausen looked to Goodsen more than he should of because he was the most familiar face out there.

More than any other position (or maybe magnified just because it's SUCH an important position), finding a QB in the draft is so doggone tough.

That being said, I like Clausen's intangibles. I was a Jake guy (although I thought they should have pulled the trigger on him much sooner last year) and I thought it was a no-brainer for Moore to start this year based on past performance.

But he's stunk it up this year and seems to have no confidence. Clausen has that, and I for one am glad to see someone that will throw the damn ball out of bounds instead of forcing a play.

Agreed that he needs to get some PT this year in case of a lockout next year.

Agreed the O-line can help make this a less painful learning curve.

Agreed that it'd be nice if another receiver or two showed up (although Gettis had some moments today). Moore overshot two throws that should have been scores.

On the good foot, if we keep stinkin' it up like this, I'll get some nice Sunday afternoon fishing time in this fall.

It is amazing how bad Moore looks. Holds on to the ball way too long, can't see open receivers, rarely throws an accurate pass. He is not recognizable from last year. JC did look like he had some positive energy...got the ball out fast. It will interesting to see what he can do after a week of practicing with the 1's. I am ready....hope he is.

The backup Qback is usually the most popular guy in town when you are losing.

That being said, I agree that Clausen probably should start. But I am certainly not sure he will do any better initially. On his first or second pass, he was very lucky he didn't get picked off. And then he did get picked off, although it was a tipped ball that was half his fault and half the receivers.

Fwiw, I though Moore seemed very hesitant and unsure of himself today. I do wonder if that is a result of inexperience, looking over his shoulder because of Clausen, the poor performance last week, or some combination of the three. I still think Moore could end up being a good Qback in this league, but I don't think it will happen here.

I agree with those that say we should let Clausen have a shot. If he plays well then you have to go with the hot hand. If he doesn't play well then you can bring Moore back in. Might do Moore good to sit on the bench and watch for a game at least. That way both guys get to give it a try and we can see who can move the ball. At this point it isn't like we are a contender. We don't have that much to lose.

yeah, I certainly got a better feeling from Pickles.. he stared down Smitty once that I saw, other than that he seems to go through his reads.. I hear that is pretty important..

Rosario was a bright spot today.. I hope Barnidge starts showing up.. you know, since we don't need more than 1 WR...
