I got one from Danny Morrison last week. He told me they thought the offense would carry our young D, seriously. I was so surprised when he called that I couldnt think of anything to ask. I just told him how ive been going to the games for 15 years and loved the Panthers with a passion and believed they would get it turned around. He said they are young but would make the changes necessary to put a better product on the field. He seemed sincere but for them to call tells me they do care about us.

So if he was lumping "John and Marty" together in that 2 season thing and they failed, why would he be getting rid of John and keeping Marty?

his statement had nothing to do with keeping or letting go fox or hurney.

it had to do with forcing the two of them to take the team in a new direction.

i believe what we are seeing from the outside isn't fox being given the boot because he is a bad coach (he isn't)...it's fox not agreeing with what's being done, so he's been given an out.

I asked him if we would get a new coach, and who would it be? He answered "Fox's contract is up at the end of the year and we will look at it then"

the fact of the matter is no one has gotten anything and won't until the cba fiasco is sorted out.

i believe hurney was offered an extension because he's willing to play ball with the hand he is being dealt. fox is not.

at the end of the season, fox is either going to be on board the new ship...or thrown over board

He called me too after I sent a blistering Email on Monday. To me, he seemed "old" and confused and also said we were in the Conference Championship two years ago...I wonder how strong his mind is and if he is suffering from dimentia...He sounded alot like my Dad who just passed...or maybe he had a few cocktails in him.

Said everything to me that's in this thread. Did say he was very embarrassed, especially Sunday when the Ravens took over BOA, but he cannot show emotions during the game. He wants consistent winning teams, and he spent $12.5 Million in Coaches salaries for 2010, and expected them to do a better job. He would not comment on who he might hire after the season. I told him keeping a coach without a contract was a mistake...and that there had been too many draft day mistakes made. He said pick out two players from 2009 draft and 2010 draft and you can see our future....i dunno about that...

We talked alot about the old seasons, 1996, 2003..and he urged me to keep coming to games and promised that we would be winning games next year..(if there is a 2011)...He seemed sincere....but scripted to a certain degree.

Just so everyone knows..I don't post much but I was shocked he called. I should have been more demanding and mean...but I sorta felt sorry for him as he talked...btw..I have 16 PSL's anyone wanna buy one? haha

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
