Shares Rivera's view that the defense should dictate to the offense, not just react.

Gets an evil little twinkle in his eye when he talks about attacking.

Video software they're using to review game footage has an XBox style controller.

T-Shirt and Jeans guy where Rivera looks to always be in a suit.

Most interesting part for me: Said he believes not just in putting pressure on opposing offenses, but in running the defense in such a way that it puts pressure on the offensive coordinators calling the plays on the other side. That's pure Jim Johnson philosophy there.

Rivera is going to make this guy look good, and he'll be a hot commodity again in a few years

seems to me that McDermott won't be the only Carolina coach that will be a hot commodity in a few years. Rivera is hiring young, ambitious coaches that want to climb the ladder. and just maybe he is giving them the freedom and expecting the kind of success they need to do just that.

Excited about the attack-style defense I expect to see, if TD can get healthy he's really going to shine in a zone-blitz scheme. Anderson should shine in this scheme as well.
