HC and OC are wide receiver coaches. They'll get him to his potential. But we still need a speed receiver. We have to have the biggest lumbering WR corps in the league.

If only we had a 4.39 WR…oh wait.

Let’s be honest, at #8 no defender was going get our defense ranked more than 27 out of 32 in one year. In my opinion I rather see whether Bryce has the stuff, cause I don’t think we know yet. This way we get to see entering year 3, whether he has a future here.

Fair point. The problem with our D last year was primarily our D-line and we plugged that up in FA. Our defense still isn’t top 15 at this point, but none of the players available were going to make us top 15 next year (in 2 years probably). Draft has a lot of players left.

If you think tet doesn't have concerns then you are blind. NFL Dbs are a whole other breed. Big with hands don't make you great, the guy is gonna have to develop some serious toughness to survive in the league. Defenders will get in his grill and stay there and he better learn to start liking watching film or he will be outta here in a few years.

This guy couldn't pretend to love football for possibly a difference in millions for his first payday.

Rockhead. Absolute rockhead.

The crashouts are worth it no matter how this lands. The Walker fanboys were  as annoying as the day 2 Darnell Washington fanboys a couple years ago.

If you haven't noticed the people crashing out over the last 7 years have been right.

This. And frankly, an improved offense can do a lot for a defense. When your team has confidence their offense can score on their stops, that makes me feel at least more motivated on defense.

If you think the problem with the defense last year was the offense, then I don't know what to tell you.

Historically, historically now, one of the worst defensive units of all-time. COME ON!

A big reason why we should be hoping for XL's continued development as his 4.39 speed is going to be important to taking the tops off of defenses.

Straight line long speed is severely overrated.  Especially by the panthers front office.

I said months ago it would be Walker, Graham, or McMillan. OK with it.

I do like how nobody had a clue. Walker was a smokescreen but not for the person that seem to have been leaking it would be. Double smoke screen.

"People around the leage" had no idea what they were talking about.

    • Canales talks exactly like narcissists talk because they can’t understand how their actions impact other people negatively. They’re describing what they should be feeling or thinking instead of saying it.  if you’ve ever dated one you know exactly what I mean and it’s off putting if you’ve gone through it.  im sure his apology to Izzy sounded like “I never thought you’d be so upset by me masturbating with Brad Idzik during a film session. Again. I thought we had moved past that. In the future, you need to make your displeasure more clear.”
    • I like Chuba as a person. However when we signed him to that extension I said it was a risk because he had his best statistical season while we have invested over the last 2 seasons what is now a league leading amount of money in the offensive line and it's only going to increase with us needing to sign our left tackle to an upcoming extension. We cannot afford all this. Our defense is already amongst one of the lowest invested groups in the league and we expect them to shoulder the burden. As far as Chuba over Rico let's just call it what it is. Our franchise making decisions based on what we've invested in a player instead of doing what's best for the team. We've already been doing this with Bryce Young and we again have one of the league's worst QB rooms. It cannot continue. How many blowout losses can we witness before things like this finally click? Either we begin operating like a serious franchise or we will look up and reach the milestone of being a cellar dweller for 10 consecutive years.
    • They need to be dug up and made into a fan handbook. I'm almost positive there is a gameday monolog for every team in the league. Man I miss old SCP. He was a poet and didn't know it.
