Or a future pick

This would be the best option a future 2nd and 57 maybe. We’d still have ammo for this draft and you never know what capital we may acquire for next years draft. But getting EZ would really add some juice to our draft a top 3/4 Edge the top WR or at least top 1/2 WR seems like a good haul after two rounds of the draft. This isn’t close to a Brooks dislike last year and dam it sometimes you roll the dice you hit some you crap out some. But not trying or sitting and waiting isn’t going to get us our second impact player and we need 2 to 3 out of this draft to continue to build on where we need to be to contend with all teams.

I think that's the bare minimum to get to the top of the second.  I have no problem with it

To move up to the top of the 2nd round we probably have to give up far more than that. And, if history is any indication, the pick will bust. So sure, trade away effectively 3 players for 1 when we suck at drafting in the 2nd round.

If we needed more picks, they should have traded down last night.  Let's man up!  We made the pick at 8, now stay put!  I hope all teams ignore the Panthers calls.

You think staying put is manning up what type of silly football assessments are you making. You move around the dam draft to acquire what you feel will help your squad. You don’t stay put like some trained dog you fckn go get what you need to be successful duh!!! You hope teams ignore your teams calls who are actively trying to improve the roster enough that instead of a tight game with the eventual superbowl champs we can pull out the win with more offense and more pass rush naw let’s just stay put bc we didn’t trade back yesterday so let’s be good boys and wait on what’s left and hopefully the player will contribute or get who’s projected to be a productive player like EZ next to Brown ARob Wharton etc…. That opinion sounded like you’re mad we didn’t trade so let’s not make anymore moves man your tweaking it’s the nfl draft where good teams acquire multiple highly productive players and get a return on their investment from year one until they resign or leave the organization.

They all will bust if the Panthers pick them right? So just trade it all away

The difference in chart value to go from 57 to 34 is a pick in the 200's. Likely will be able to move up for a fourth or future third.

#Panthers are calling teams aggressively in the 2nd round for a higher pick. Presumably for an edge/DT

Shouldn't have traded the pick away 2 years ago for an undersized QB. First, you overreach for a WR at 8, now you want to give away more future assets?

Way to go Dan "Fitterer" Morgan.

    • Darrell Jackson would be a fantastic pickup for us, I think he could replace 80% of what A’Shawn gave us last year. With more passing rush upside going forward in the future, I’m a big proponent of large framed defensive tackles. Pairing Derrick Brown with another 6’5 35inch arm length DT would be so fun to watch. Let’s continue being huge in the middle, allow our linebackers to flow to the ball uninterrupted.
    • Fully agree that the best thing to do is ignore them, which takes a away their thrill of thinking they got to you.
    • I agree with you on the pick of Thienemen in the first. I think he will still be there and he's a smart, fast and sturdy player. He's who we need back there. In the second, I like Rodriguez over Golday. I agree that off the ball linebackers are desperately needed here, even with our great FA pick up. I think with our third pick, we're going to dip into OT territory instead of the D-line. While I agree that we need another disruptor at the point of attack that is stout enough to just stonewall a center and a guard at the same time, we've got a shaky and expensive O-line at the present that is just about to age out of the game. I think we snag Blake Miller out of Clemson here and give him a year behind Moton to learn and put some weight and strength on. He can also jump right in and play right guard at any time. Also, and this might sound crazy, but anyone who has put up with multiple seasons at Clemson will be able to take the heat and humidity of training camp at the start of the season and early games against the NFCSouth.  Beyond that, your guess is as good as mine. We do need that QB for competition and realistically to study for back-up. Luke Altmyer out of Illinois seems to fit the mold of the point guard type QB that they want from Bryce. That'd make an apples to apples situation that could make coaching and game planning easy. On the other hand North Dakota State's Cole Payton could be an intriguing choice as well as a big dual threat guy. Both could be there for our fourth pick or both could be gone. Will QBs continue to slide this season like last? Who knows?
