Love smitty, but can you put him ahead of Moss, Harrison, Fitz, Jefferson, Megatron, TO , Andre Johnson, Deandre Hopkins, Evans, Tyreek and several others not immediately coming to mind?

Smitty only has 9 more career receiving TDs than Marquis Colston (yes, I know Brees). Colston never even made first team pro bowl. It’s painful to say, but he’s not even top 10 when considering his competition

Yeah, criminally underrated but definitely not top 10 all time.

Agree except Andre Johnson.  I think he's higher on that list than Andre Johnson.  Hall of Very Good Inductee.  Everyone else, you can have it.

I know that I'm biased because he's probably my all time favorite player, but I hate not to see Greg Olsen on this list! Gronk, Kelce, Gonzalez, and Gates are obvious choices, but Greg was a beast as a blocker & catcher. Not everyone on this list can say that. Couldn't we put 1 more on the PS, please??

When you factor in Fox and Jake (love ya Jake but lets be real) Smitty deserves credit beyond the stats.

I know I said CMCs inclusion was all ifs and promises

That not withstanding

Smith is top 4 in yards among his peers (2000-2014)

Top 5 in receptions in that same time frame

Only triple crown winner

Didnt have Young, Romo, Warner, Manning, Brady slinging him the ball

Dunno if he is top 3 in the last 25 years cause some guys have put up stats since his prime - but Smith is very underrated for a dude in a run first offense with a less than HOF QB

The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.

I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.

The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.

I'm more of the mind that Rhule, in his infinite wisdom, sat McCaffrey when he was healthy so he'd have a built-in excuse that'd buy him another year. I feel pretty convinced of this as well.

Whoever did this list is a clear Chiefs/Priest Holmes fan

Priest Holmes was a fantasy football for a couple seasons.  He must of won this guy some cash.  Because it was a tiny window vs the actual GOATS

Injury prone Christian McCaffrey but no LaDainian Tomlinson? This is what happens when any jabroni can call themselves a sports analyst now.

It simply depends on perspective. CMC, when healthy and on the field, has a higher YPC and YPR than LT. Yes, he's been injury prone, but this is simply a "all quarter-century team." There are certainly different stats and different lists. If this were a list or about a team simply based on longevity, then of course LT wins that every time, but some lists are more subjective and nuanced depending upon what they are, and it's not necessarily a reflection upon a person's ability to analyze sports.

All fine and good, but know what you're disagreeing with. You can't disagree with facts, and it is a fact that McCaffrey's yards-per-carry and yards-per-catch averages are higher than Tomlinson's. You can agree or disagree about the importance of that fact in light of different parameters or contexts, but the facts as of June 27, 2025 on their career averages in that regard aren't changing.

LT had 8 straight seasons of an average of 1100-1800 rushing yards and 126 touchdowns and missed one game in that timespan.

If you want to quote me and strut around in your Christian McCaffrey PJ's by all means do your thing bud.

    • It was a team loss, because it's a team game.  I even admitted so in the above post.  That does not deflect or shield a player or players for their role in that loss. Horn's penalty and Hubbard's fumble were super costly.   What was your intent on starting this thread with an All-22 pass play?  Did you honestly think there would be no controversy around Bryce?  Then go on to say if anyone disagrees they are 100% anti-Bryce.  Really?  I've stated over and over again my position on Bryce.  At this point, he's not the pre-benching '24 Bryce, that guy is largely gone.  However, his ceiling is game manager level for like 80% of his outings, that being middling...10% really good and 10% awful.  That's not my idea of a franchise QB.  The notion that we just have to maximize everything around him to nudge him above game manager level is not only unrealistic, but one sided...literally.  The defense has taken a back seat as a priority on this team, yet we complain about it.  How many die hard NFL fans can name anyone on our defense outside of Brown and Horn?  Heck most fair weather Panthers fan couldn't either.
    • People have genuinely ignored the fact that Horn is having a very underwhelming season overall. The INT's are way up but a lot of the other metrics have not been very kind. He has had a disappointing year overall by his standards.
    • their pass defense is good but not that good.  they are giving up on average 198 yards passing per gamd which is higher than byoungs average per game.  their pass defense is basically the same as the panthers pass d
