Noah Fant? "Perfect fix?" More like imperfect fix.

I don't really care about 1 vs 2.  BUt I think that Sanders will eventually be our best pass catching tight end.  Maybe as early as mid season.  And Tremble will be in on more obvious run blocking plays.  And we have the kid we drafted. I don't think Fant is good enough to change the order of things. I think he can find other teams where he has a better chance.   

And for us, Fant has a lot of NFL mileage on him.  For a guy that was good, not great, I just don't see much of a point.

I don't think its an over estimation of our own talent, just don't see that this guy will be much of an improvement.

I largely like someone like Noah being added simply because of what the roster looks like.  Not so much because I like him. 

In terms of consistency and reliability, we have Adam Theilen, who debated retirement, couldn't play a full season last year.......and that brings us to the conclusion of that discussion.  AT goes down or the lotto hail mary Renfrow thing doesn't work (think Cohen).......and you still got a roster full of dudes you don't even know for sure will run the right routes yet given their youth. 

We might could use some boring good.  Because you basically are all in on AT staying healthy to get that every week 

* I think Moore and Tremble don't meet the average tier like Fant which is why I didn't list them.

Warren landed in a rough spot to shine.  Think Richardson was like at a 40% comp last year or something horrific.

We'll see how it plays out. In terms of positional value, outside WR is certainly a lot higher on the totem pole than TE but if Warren turns out to be the next elite TE then we may look back on it as a mistake. Only time will tell. I mean, Kyle Pitts was the last "generational TE" prospect and no one had Warren at that level of prospect and if the Falcons could re-do that draft they'd take Jamarr Chase over him every single time. If they had Chase to pair with London they would really be a problem offensively. Not saying that T-Mac is a Chase level prospect at WR, he's not. I put him more in that London category but I think that category of WR is a higher value than the Warren category of TE.  I honestly think Warren projects as more of a Todd Heap style player which is still a helluva player but I don't think he's the type of game breaking TE that you draft in the top 10. At the end of the day, we'll just have to see how it plays out on the field. Every draft would play out a lot differently if you could re-draft it 1, 2, 5, 10 years down the road. There will inevitably be mid-late rounders who should've ended up being 1st rounder and there will be 1st rounders who should've gone undrafted. Hopefully we come out in the right side of that revisionist history because we've been on the losing end of it for years now and that's a big part of why we suck.

I am curious to see if Warren is the elite player that the Huddle Warren stans believe. I am always fairly wary of these first round TE's.

It can be easy to overestimate rosters this time of year. Most teams are probably waiting until they see what they’ve got in camp for a minute before making a move.  Unless they’ve got an obvious hole (like LB has become now)

It's much too soon for the "Holy air ball" comment, and saying he can do "everything" Nalo can do is simply a stretch. He's not as smooth a route runner, isn't as fast, nor does he provide the catch radius. Warren improved in drops last season, but honestly, Tetairoa has better hands as well.
