Coker just had terrible luck. He came out in a deep WR rookie class and had injuries that killed his stock. If he had a healthy year and came out in 2025- I am fairly sure he'd been a solid 3rd and no later than mid 4th.

Jags drafted two LB this past draft and have Muma former 3rd on the roster and Miller former 4th both are still in their rookies deals. They did not exercise his 5th, that's normally a sign that you are not part of their future plans.

I knew going against cokeheads would be hard.....

If Coker is so mediocre why would the Jags trade for him?

For a starting young LB that can help right now?

Are we sure Coker will get any snaps this season, I don't see a lane unless a couple injuries hit the WR room.

It's best to trade while a stock is hot......

Panic moves are Rhule/Fitterer stuff.

LB may not work out this year, so be it.

No thanks. Chances all of our WRs make it through the season healthy is slim. Thielen is one year older missed some time last year. Renfrow literally didn't think he was going to play football again. One injury and what was looked at as a "strength" of this team no longer is if we deal away assets. Off ball LB is the RB of the defense. That position just doesnt offer as much value anymore

Yeah if a few things break the wrong way (Legette doesn't take the next step, AT decides to hang it up, the Renfrow project doesn't work out) we're leaning hard on TMac, Jimmy Horn, and who else, like David Moore going into 2026?  Don't deal somebody like Coker just to make a bad defense slightly better.  You have a cheap, young corps growing up together right now.

As it stands our WR corps is looking promising but it isn't like we're the Bengals with Higgins and Chase either, where we've got two number 1 WRs we can lean on and put low risk/high reward late round and UDFA receivers under them on the depth chart to see if we hit on one.  In a lot of ways we don't truly know what we have yet.  On paper it looks good but, well we've seen that before.

The price is one year of Lloyd, whom they don't view as a future piece.

Potentially Coker is a solid #2-3 WR and Jags have holes on WR #2-6. It fill a big need for the jag and they retain 2 years of a cheap contract.

Trade works great for each team= win win win

No. Coker was our best WR last year and has a good shot at being our 2nd best this year.

How many TDs will Coker get with Chubba, Dowdle, Etienne, JT, Tremble, Evans, AT, XL. Tmac, Hunter, Moore, and Horn in 2025??

How many Recs?

No panic, just a move that works for the Panthers and works for the Jags.

The Jags had the second worst defense in the league last year behind us and they're ready to punt this guy. That kinda says it all.

No thanks, I'll keep my young WR who has shown some promise especially considering we only have two proven WRs on the roster one of whom is trying to work his way back into the league after a two year health related absence.

You know Panthers have the worst LB unit in the league, this move would boost them into the 20s by just adding Lloyd. Jags maybe the old jags, they make mistakes or follow the new league and don't want to invest cap space into LBs. Either way they have a huge need/want at WR while having a surplus of LBs and that fits with what the Panthers have.

No one wants to answer my questions, why wasn't Coker with BY and the whole WR crew at ATs bro retreat bonding?

    • Great point.    I would lke to add that there is another QB on the roster who was terrible over the middle--Kenny Pickett.
    • I don't think this is the year for Carolina, unfortunately.  I think they will have to make a decision on the QB position-all we know is that Bryce has year 5, but a long term deal has not been signed--yet--and they would be smart to take a "wait and see" approach.  I have not kept up, and I see a path to upside for Bryce, but I do not think we have aggressively pursued a QB when our QB was mediocre to worse than mediocre.  yes, his numbers are improving--but he has adapted by eliminating what he does poorly and not improving on what he does poorly.  Just my take and I have no data to support this view.   Basically, we go as Bryce goes, so the approach is not to bring in a QB to have him compete until we find one, but it is to make Bryce as good as he can be--is that good enough? Season ticket holders buy the hope of winning rings, not winning 8 games. Last year, Bryce had a resurgence.  Take away TMac and Rico Dowdle.  How good was he?  I still have hope.  Not a hater of plan A, but a hater because we have no plan B.
    • Yeah man, I've been here for a very very long time. Couldn't even begin to tell you what year. Maybe 2004 or 5? I've never really been super active, just enjoy reading everyone's opinions and discussions. I'll chime in from time to time. I have had a few different accounts over the years. It's always been a fun place for me to check in on my favorite team. Hopefully we can keep the place running for a long while still. I also would like to recommend bringing back the Lovely Ladies page!
