well, there's this.

and it's making me believe we have the right guys in the lockeroom.  Wait till the end and see everyone run from the bench.

I mean, I wouldn't read too much into something non-football related like that.

I think 95% of the players in the NFL are going to be good with treating kids well in such scenarios. You would kind of have to be a real monster otherwise.

Guys being good humans and doing work in the community is what we should always be seeing. I mean they've been doing things like this for the last 7 or 8 years under Tepper. We did the same things under Richardson. It's fantastic. With all the money in this sport it's the bare minimum they can and should be doing. As far as the locker room and the culture and actually winning football games though that's a different thing entirely and these gestures while heartwarming aren't going to move the needle for that at all. Otherwise we would have more than 7 winning seasons in 3 decades of existence.

I see the sticker shock, but $50M a year by 2028 won’t even be top 20 imo

Yeah, I was kinda thinking that. But...Bryce is still gonna have to earn his money, and he's going to have to be substantially better than his period after being benched, or the question will be if we want to pay him $50 per year (if you get my drift).

Glad to see you didn't count .500 seasons. Not counting the coming season, the Panthers have had a winning season a little less than 25 percent of the time. That's abysmal. Tepper's tenure has been a black hole for wins, and for fan sentiment, interaction and energy.

Us fans should really be a miserable lot, but we are always looking for reasons to stay hopeful. Fan Fest is a reasonable distraction I guess. But, if you think like I do, The Panthers should be paying me to come to it.

Holy sh*t. I've gotten so disinterested in football (from all the losing seasons and Tepper) that I didn't even know football is right around the corner lol

Like I said when Tepper bought the team, he has sucked any life and energy we had left from the Cam era right out. If this franchise wants more engagement, win. It's that simple. But I'm totally prepared to already be sick of football by week 2 when we suck yet again.

This is far and away the worst stretch in franchise history and it did coincide with his ownership.

The amount of anti-fan sentiment and moves by he and the franchise during his ownership are absolutely fuging bizarre.

As you say, if anything they should be kissing our asses to get us to even participate.

Ultimately, this is the downside of the insane TV deals. The owners don't have to truly care about asses in the seats.

At one time I was completely convinced that Tep’s initial intention was to destroy fan sentiment, flip the team to another town and keep the Panthers’ real estate for his very lucrative concert venue.

For me, my total apathy began the season after the super bowl loss..watching this team to squandering the Cam/Kuchley era having Gettleman whiff on a DT in the 1st rd...Cams injury..then partnering that up with Matt Rhule and all that sheteshow.

Imagine what could have been if the front office then had the same investment into the Oline and WRs we commited to the last 2 years!? Cam would have had legit targets and a RT not whiffing on Von Miller. Its a lot..but I can be brought back.

I am 100% all in on this coach and front office. I think this may be an all timer draft for the team. So some wins can be the medicine i need.

I did a little look after you posted this. I wanted to see how long it has been since each NFL franchise experienced 36 or less wins in a 7 season span(not including partial seasons) in the Super Bowl era(1967-Present).

Arizona: 1999-2005(36 wins)

Atlanta: 1984-1990(31 wins)

Baltimore: Never

Buffalo: 1967-1973(26 wins)

Chicago: 1970-1976(34 wins)

Cincinnati: 1996-2002(34 wins)

Cleveland: 2013-2019(28 wins)

Dallas: Never

Denver: 1967-1973(34 wins)

Detroit: 2007-2013(36 wins)

Green Bay: Never

Houston: Never

Indianapolis: 1981-1987(31 wins)

Jacksonville: 2015-2021(33 wins)

Kansas City: Never

Las Vegas: 2005-2011(36 wins)

LA Chargers: 1997-2003(35 wins)

LA Rams: 2008-2014(32 wins)

Miami: Never

Minnesota: Never

New England: 1989-1995(35 wins)

New Orleans: 1980-1986(36 wins)

NY Giants: 1974-1980(31 wins)

NY Jets: 2018-2024(36 wins)

Philadelphia: 1972-1978(36 wins)

Pittsburgh: Never

San Francisco: 1974-1980(34 wins)

Seattle: Never

Tampa: 1988-1994(35 wins)

Tennessee: 1982-1988(35 wins)

Washington: Never

I like the historical context presented here, in that it shows just how much we have gotten to rub elbows with some of the worst teams ever.

Yeah, when I was gathering the info, it really started to become obvious how incredibly bad we have actually been.

This^ The NFL is printing money right now and the TV deals are filling the owner's pockets so they don't really give a rat's behind about engaging with the fan base. The NFL is wildly popular so people are going to watch and go no matter what.
