Names that I'm interested in:

  • QB: Tyler Huntley, Bailey Zappe, Tommy DeVito, Dorian Thompson-Robinson
  • WR: Malachi Corley (YAC God got waived!?), Jha'Quan Jackson, Xavier Restrepo
  • TE: Jaheim Bell, TE Tre McKitty, Cameron Latu
  • DL: Marlon Tuipulotu
  • EDGE: Julian Okwara, Antwaun Powell-Ryland, Fadil Diggs
  • LB: Jamin Davis, Chad Muma, Chazz Surratt
  • CB: Tariq Castro-Fields, Zy Alexander, O'Donnell Fortune, Mike Hilton
  • S: Sam Franklin Jr, Israel Mukuamu
  • K: Caden Davis, Dustin Hopkins

I’m actually fine with our TE group. I would like to see us upgrade at ILB, maybe safety and CB.

I think we are good at WR. I thought Corley could have been a good player but I guess he wasn’t doing good at all.

I came across this article about Corley from today. I know sometimes a change of scenery can really help turn around a player and we’ve seen plenty of players from the jets end up being good other places. I just don’t know if Corley is that guy.

- CB CJ Henderson (ATL)
- CB Keith Taylor (ATL)
- CB Dane Jackson (BUF)
- WR Laviska Shenault (BUF)
- WR Diontae Johnson (CLE)
- DB Sam Franklin (DEN)
- TE Gio Ricci (MIN)

I still can't believe how hard Rhule tried to cram Ricci into the offensive scheme, dude was horrible

Most of these were brought in or drafted by Fitterer. Dude had to be in the top 5 worst GMs of all time

One guy we should seriously consider is Willie Lampkin. Could be future starter at center.

Agreed. In a similar way to Aaron Donald being considered too small for IDL when he was drafted, Lampkin is always viewed as too small but just dominates anyway.

GREAT LIST!!!!!

  • I'd look to add both Davis and Muma at ILB.  One is a WILL ILB and the other is a SAM ILB. Clear upgrades over Bam and Cherelus
  • Mukuamu would be a great addition at safety.  I'd drop Scott for him and start one of Richardson or Ransom
  • I'd give Fadil Diggs a look over DJJ any day of the week.  DJJ is not long for the roster once Nic is 100%
  • Outside of the guys I mentioned and a CB to be named later I really don't see too much shuffling from what we have on our 53.
  • I think we need to get creative with our PS.  Luckily we are healthy and can take some time to develop players if we retain a few of our own.  I think Kingston and Tarquin will be back at OL for us.  Sam Roberts, Mike Reid, and Bartholomew for sure on defense.  I'd assume Wright will stick on the PS until our rookie kicker proves himself.  Sam Franklin would be a perfect PS signing.  I'd love to pick up Kyle McCord or Trask as a PS QB.  One player to keep an eye on is Jalen Brooks from the Cowboys.  He's from the area and is talented.  Lots of options.  PS players can play 4 games before having to sign on for the rest of the year!!!

I thought we got the most value out of him when Ben McAdoo made him and Cade Mays fullbacks.

Pretty sure that didn't happen until after Wilks took over as head coach, who knows if Rhule wouldn't let McAdoo do it earlier or if it was Wilks' idea.

This is true. Probably the latter. Offense changed a lot when Rhule left. Actually for the better, not sure if that was Wilks or McAdoo not being micromanaged.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
