It's my understanding the Vikings will rework Adam Thielen's contract. Carolina won't be absorbing any of his current deal to facilitate the trade, which really boils down to a future fourth-round sent to the Panthers

Would rather have picked up some of his salary if we could keep our 5th round pick... Not sure what we are going to use our cap space on unless we plan to roll it over to next year

We got a fourth for the oldest receiver in the league. It’s honestly a pretty good return, and everyone’s concern over losing a well-past-his-prime Adam Thielen is just evidence of how far the standards of this franchise have fallen.

 

T-Mac, Coker, and XL can carry the load. Looking forward to seeing the new-look offense.

I’m not sure how anyone could expect us to net anything more than a 4th rounder for a 35 year old wide receiver honestly 

 

a little bummed bc of his importance to the team the last few years and as a vet in the WR room, but from a strictly football perspective I don’t think it’s a bad trade.
