Panthers will not draft a quarterback this year unless it is in later rounds. Too many other positions of need.

We weren't drafting a high QB this year anyway.  Unless Bryce looked like the absolute worst QB in the League, he was always going to get at least one more year.

They are getting hard to find. CJ Allen looked real good last night for Georgia

If we're talking exclusively 3-down ILBs, Allen (UGA), Weeks (LSU), & Lawson (Bama) are all going to be prime candidates for us.

Finding a vocal, sideline-to-sideline, technically proficient man in the middle is what we need immensely.

Look for the best ILB who has a proven track record of running the defense on the field. High leadership and football IQ marks, good tackler, looks to correct mistakes being made in-play. Needs to be the brains more than the brawn.

Luke was always the brains, TD the enforcer and Shaq the chaser. Worked like a charm. Dan Morgan should know how to build this, but seemingly can't. I think he is easily sold on players by their agents more than what they actually bring to the field. But what do I know?

As for linebacker, this seemed like a huge need only a week ago. However, the big change that defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero made against Miami might have changed the equation.

Instead of relying on Christian Rozeboom as the green dot guy, the Panthers gave play-calling duties to Trevin Wallace. The move appeared to work out well for both, who had their best game of the season.

If Rozeboom and Wallace can continue to play relatively well, that might eliminate the need for a linebacker upgrade.
