He beat up on a Falcons team that was already on vacation, and looked passable against the dog poo cardinals. He was also completely absent against the Eagles until the last five minutes. 

This end of the season surge nonsense is just him beating up on Atlanta, and their DC was fired two days later.

I think the reality is he played long enough to simply have one random good game.  That was week 18.  A complete anomaly. 

Most of his “comeback” was very average NFL QB play.  NFL average was deemed really good.  But those were good for Bryce.   But he wasn’t generating much offense in reality.  But if a good day is NFL average play….normal day is sorta bad.  And a bad day is horrible. 

Plus, teams now have an offseason to study a bad QB who is also an unnatural fit for the scheme he is in.

like i know people want a thing to be true, but it is infuriating that his defenders will pick an arbitrary point in time, declare that nothing else matters except what happens after that, and then ignore things within their own criteria that contradicts it. 

The same thing happened in his rookie season after the Packers game.

Pressure and expectations were essentially gone when he came back into the lineup because of how bad he sucked prior to his benching.

Oh well Hurricanes Hockey coming this month. Atleast we have a team in the Carolinas that are consistently good every seasons (even if they suck it up in the conference finals)

I'm honestly okay with us finding this out week 1. I'm excited to see who our new QB will be, hopefully we finally strike gold. It would have sucked if Bryce played decent enough to get a large contract and tie us to him longer.
