Look at Miami. They had a bad day. Anyone can have a bad day. In 3 months, the Jags could be the best team in the NFL. Who knows? Maybe we'll see them in the SB this year.  Lol. Ok. I spit. You know what I mean. Let's wait a couple of weeks before we burn the house down. That is all. Continue firing and benching everyone.

We weren't prepared to play.  I think we have a false sense of confidence based on practicing against our own defense (and vice versa).  Putting in no preseason work and shitting the bed out of the gate again, Cannales acting bewildered about how different the team looked against his expectations.  The real serious issue may be that we have coaches with no perception until they get their teeth kicked in by a 4 win team with a new coaching staff.

We have Horn, Brown, Hunt, Lewis & McMillan for the future.  Really, it's 5 guys at best.

Hubbard is nice, but RBs come and go unless they're world beaters.  The rest of the roster on both sides is entirely replaceable.  I know it is because we've replaced it like 3 times since Cam left.

Scott nor Morgan rebooted the scouting department.  It's been mostly the same this entire time since Rhule's start (and many before).  There's nothing to relax from.  There were no expectations and everyone is still completely amazed by the lack of really anything watchable.

Not to be doom and gloom, but there's not much else anymore to say.

The Panthers are dead. No one worth a sh*t would willingly work for this franchise. It’s all rejects and nobodies. I will never forgive David Tepper’s arrogant ass for ruining this franchise. He can give out as many charity dinners and coat drives as he wants but the fact remains he killed a fun team to be a fan of.

We're more than halfway through this decade and it's been a complete waste.

Test ran Teddy two-gloves, went XFL-alum, burned through (and failed) 2 competent starters that are still going hard (Darnold, Mayfield), drafted Corral (lol), traded up for Bryce (this counts for like 3 tries), have had the ginger fluttering about.

0-7 since Cam.

Thank you, please try again Panthers.

I am not even certain Hunt/Lewis are core players because they came on massive contracts. Likely the last contracts they will get here, TBH.

I love TMac but let's not call that shot quite yet. Especially at that position.

I also question the entire scouting department. Makes me wonder if we even have people in the building capable of making good hires there.

Might want to take a look at Darnold's game today if you think he is competent. Jets/Minny playoffs Darnold is back.

    • BPA in draft all the way. Address your biggest needs in free agency.
    • Exactly.  You let him play out next season and continue to develop Thorton.  Jackson’s earned his next contract, but his age and the risk of tying up such a large portion of the payroll at one position leads me to believe that we’ll let him walk. In all likelihood, we’ll draft another CB, or two, and bring in some journeymen to fill the roster void, between now and the start of the 2027 season.  That’ll create more balance financially across the roster enabling us to invest in other areas.
    • As far as the NFCS … I think this division will be hotly contested the next couple of years.   I am tending to pay more respect to both Atlanta and the Saints n terms of how strong they will be moving forward, than not.    I am mixed on Ryan but think they have a decent roster to start with. I don’t think he blundered hiring Stefanski. And that offense can be dangerous with a QB. Plus, defense is arrow up. No 1st round pick, WB issues will dull their effectiveness. Question is, to what degree?   I think Moore is going to be a good HC and can overcome tape that people have on Shough. They need a lot but they were playing with people. Just the way you want to see all the way to the end.    Not sure about Tampa they have Mayfield but I don’t think they can maintain their success and Bowles is not going to last much longer. They have to go through all that. Gonna be tough once it starts. Might already have started.    For us I feel pretty good about Morgan. But less so about our offense, we have some short term RB and OL issues and those things are critical given what we are working with at QB.  Overall, mixed. Like a lot of what I see but some major question marks remain.
