I am not even certain Hunt/Lewis are core players because they came on massive contracts. Likely the last contracts they will get here, TBH.

I love TMac but let's not call that shot quite yet. Especially at that position.

I also question the entire scouting department. Makes me wonder if we even have people in the building capable of making good hires there.

We don't.  Kirskey & NcNeil are still here.  Have been for a bit.

Some from Hurney finally left but others linger.

Going hard doesn't always mean going well lol.  He's still starting and had a really nice 2024.

He won't be starting much longer. He lived a charmed existence with a coach that made things very easy for him while so having the best offensive weapons in the NFL. He even managed to fug that up in the end.

He is a backup QB.

Might want to take a look at Darnold's game today if you think he is competent. Jets/Minny playoffs Darnold is back.

This is actually kind of a really weird week 1. Besides the 2 MVPs going at it right now, no QB seemed to have a good game today with the exception of the Jets/Steelers. I mean who saw that one coming?

At this point I don't know what the solution is...we have like 5 DUDES on this team and that's it. We have an offensive minded guru coach and our offense is as anemic as it has EVER been. Did you ever think you'd be having fond memories of Mike Shula? We had a historically bad defense last year, changed a ton of players, and might be WORSE this year.

I'm due to walk away from this team for 3-5 years like before Cam.

i think i'm finally over it.

i didn't watch yesterday. had absolutely NO interest in watching. completely forgot about it actually. my wife said "isn't there a panthers game today?" "yeah. first game of the season." "what time does it start?" "1:00. what time is it now?" "2" "oh well"

saw they lost. didn't care. not even curious anymore. i think preseason showed me enough. if they miraculously turn it around...maybe i'll get a little interested, but i think Sundays are going to be panther free for me for a while. i really just don't care anymore. apathy has completely set in.

You didn't miss much other than the realization that we are way, WAY closer to another attempted rebuild than we are a turnaround.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
