Between Canales and Morgan, who do you keep and trust moving forward

You have to start from scratch...new coach, GM and QB.  Otherwise there will be infighting about who compromised who when things aren't going well if their tenures overlap.  All three starting at ground level will have them connected at the hip and give less room fro the inevitable finger pointing during rough patches.

I'm not sure they trade Young until after next season. They still need a backup and Hooker is an unknown right now. The offseason is setting itself up to be very interesting.

I cannot think of a scenario where that has happened.  Meaning drafting a qb in the top 10 and keeping your other qb that you blew a top 10 pick on.  I think if we are picking high again we move bryce for peanuts and simply draft another guy.  Which makes the Dalton signing even more infuriating

Call me crazy, but I'm keeping them another season. There's just no point in starting over, there's way too many holes. It would have to truly go off the rails for me to want to dump them both. I would, however, be very comofortable dumping Evero.

How many wins would you quantify "going off the rails"?

I think 5 or less and heads will most certainly roll.  Who that is I am not sure but no way you dont do make some changes

Dalton will be gone. They cannot dump all their qb's at once. You are suggesting they replace all of them, granted they all do need it. But that not feasible in one offseason. If there's a new coach he will have to bring in a new vet that can run his system if that's the case. Counting on a rookie right out of the gate is how we got here. Thise team doesn't have enough talent to favor a rookie right out of the gate.

100% I hope they have learned their lesson, simply saying I cannot think of a scenario where a guy was drafted high and they kept the other guy around.  Seems like it would be awkward at best

But if we draft someone they damn sure better sit him to start

It would only be awkward for Young. That's on him. He's going to be relegated to fighting for a backup role here and if that's not what he wants then trade him for whatever we can get.

Tepper won’t clean house out of embarrassment. But that’s what we need, Morgan has appeared to completely whiff this offseason and wasted a ton of money doing so. The only focus this offseason should have been to improve the run defense which was worst in NFL history last season, and it somehow looks worse. Wallace looks to be the worst starting linebacker in the league and there were several options in free agency and we had the money. I think a good portion of that is because of Evero but a good coach and GM would have identified that Evero can’t scheme or coach and made a change.

This team really, really, really can’t afford drafting another first round QB in 2026 because they sorely need defensive studs, and there are several in this upcoming draft. Just a gut punch of an opener and what’s even worse is if we cut BY he will be better somewhere else and we will be laughed at again, I just feel that it’s coming

    • Pretty much on point. I’ll admit, I used to be one of Cam Newton’s staunch defenders back in the day, so I understand the instinct to pull positives out of a QB you believe is unfairly judged. I'm sure I was quite overbearing as well with that, lol. Is some of the criticism of Bryce Young over the top? Maybe. But there are also plenty of fair points. For what the Panthers gave up to draft him, you’d expect a bigger return by year three, not the level of struggle we’re still seeing. Sure, the offense as a whole rarely looks in sync, but that doesn’t excuse us from asking whether Bryce is worth the pick. At this point, the bigger question is how the Panthers want to move forward. Do they lean into Bryce’s limitations, tighten the support around him, and hope improved coaching/playcalling can make it work? I’m not even sure Canales’ system is a natural fit for him. Or do they reset at QB, target someone who fits Canales’ offense better, and ideally land a player with the off-structure ability and athleticism to elevate the rest of this unit’s flaws? AKA what Bryce Younf was supposed to be, but with the typical NFL arm and athleticism to back that up. That type of QB might succeed where Bryce has struggled. For now, the team stays the course with Young. But if he doesn’t show real growth soon, it’s going to force some tough decisions.
    • God, Tepper is so fuging stupid. just thinking back to that time…  how simple it could’ve been.  We found a formula that worked - and now, Wilks is where?  Foreman is where?  Imagine taking that foundation and building off that with guys like Lewis and Hunt, Tet, etc.  what a monumental fug up.
    • Yeah I mean that dumbass play by XL where he didn't get his feet in might as well. He a drop. But it doesn't make up for all of the mistakes Bryce young made once again in the season opener
