The Panthers’ Bryce Young Problem is Getting Old

To me a "drop" is a perfectly thrown ball to an open receiver, not a contested catch, not a ball that could've been caught with a Herculean effort, etc. There's a difference between a "drop" and a ball that should've been caught and a ball that maybe could've been caught. Not even Bryce's mom would've watched that game and counted 10 drops. That's just an absurd argument to make.

Drops are also going to inevitably happen in any offense on any given gameday. I don't know when or where specifically this expectation changed for Bryce Young but as a #1 overall pick you are supposed to flash something anything even in adverse circumstances. But he is not making matters any better with his lack of arm talent. It is on tape. Defenses see this tape too. They do not respect his arm. Just watch the games.

Furthermore it needs to be explicitly stated that if we are going to expect perfection from every single pass catcher on this roster at all times then why are we not also asking why for three years in a row now Bryce Young one of the smallest lightest starting QB's in the league begins the regular season looking exactly the same as if he has made absolutely no attempt to even enter the weight room.

It's so weak. They will play someone soon who comes in off of a lazy weak after watching our film and it will be all amazing over mid level stuff agaisnt a team having a crap day again too. It damn sure is what it is.

Also are drops automatically on the WRs? Do they not get an adjustment for getting their hands on poorly thrown balls too?

No only player credited with a drop was Chuba.

It’s funny. There are still people on this board that will suck the panthers off alll day. They can’t do no wrong. It’s cute. Those that still support Tepper…why?

Lol cant say anyone supports Tepper but news flash...... he is the owner and unless the sorry lot here can pull together 5 billion there isnt jack squat anyone can do about it.

This dork feels differently lol.

This poo is hilarious.  If we apply those “hidden yardage” standards to guys like Mahomes, Allen, Daniels, Jackson, or Herbert, these MFs would have 1,080 yards and 5 TDs a game.  Since when did almost count?  I ain’t never seen such coddling, pampering bullshit excuse making in my life.  How hard is it to just admit a player is just plain ASS?

Dude said 10 drops in that tweet. I don't pay for extra content so can't confirm. I was just making fun of the curved stats from drops from that expert.

I don't disagree.  I'm getting awful tired of watching Bryce Young come out and play poorly.  The last half of the season, there was some kind of magic.  They couldn't find that this off season I guess.

I want my Panthers to be fun to watch, to win, and for all the players (even Young) to do well.  If Bryce doesn't succeed off to swing at more QB chances again.  Thankfully, it's not my job to fix that.  If I were in a leadership position of the team, I'd be having some very frank conversations (and possibly polishing off my resume if the season continues to suck).

On the hopium side, I hope that this was just "week 4 of the preseason."  Maybe they can get it right next week.  It's a nice fantasy until I get bludgeoned in the face by reality 😃

Yeah I called him out for the BS.

XL and Rico got credited for the INT and Chuba with a drop, all the other incompletions were considered uncatchable.
