wish the base look would just be Tmac and Tremayne outside w/ Renfrow in the slot.  For all the talk of Canales saying play the youth.....he shouldn't be putting his boy David Moore out there so heavily vs Tremayne.   Who might be this years Coker.

I agree, but humans are flawed.  He's not likely to change.  For whatever reason he loves David Moore.

I have been having Ron Rivera flashbacks lately with this staff.  Not in a good way.

It's mildly surprising to see David Moore play 56/58 snaps on offense while Tremayne and Renfrow played 16 or 17 snaps each. Tells you a bit about the current hierarchy at WR.

Renfrow has terrible chemistry with Bryce. Not sure what is up with that.

Tremayne has earned the right to play over XL, that's for sure. Granted the bar to clear for that is on the floor but still. Honestly, when Coker returns I want to see T-Mac, Tremayne, and Coker getting heavy dose of snaps. The Bryce/Renfrow connection is just not planning out and XL has produced virtually nothing.

Wouldn't be the worst with T-Mac and Tremayne on the outside and Coker in the slot. I still think my preference is T-Mac and Tremayne outside and Renfrow in the slot for now (until Coker comes back). Renfrow didn't have a good day yesterday, but I think he played well the 1st 2 weeks. Bryce having a noodle arm and not being able to throw an accurate deep ball to Renfrow is the only reason his stats aren't much better.

Yeah, Bryce seems to really struggle to put the ball on Renfrow down the field.

I wonder if they're trying to keep Renfrow fresh by controlling his snap count???

I think it is pretty simple.  Bryce has lead the NFL in bad throw % since arriving in the NFL.  His ball placement often leaves a lot to be desired often.

Renfrow is tiny.  Tiny wingspan.  So it's really going to highlight the fact Bryce doesn't really put the best balls out there for people w/ someone small like Renfrow.

We need to stop sending Renfrow deep. He's getting open but Bryce can't hit him. Have him run those Thielen routes from the past couple years. Bryce is a lot more accurate making those short to intermediate throws and Thielen just doesn't have the catch radius to reel in Bryce's spotty deep throws.

Renfrow has played virtually the entire game both weeks 1 and 2.  I think this was just about David Moore getting XL's role.  And thus mathematically the only way to get Tremayne  work was to limit Renfrow.

Which Renfrow probably should be limited....just not this way.   You don't want David Moore playing a full game because he stinks.  But he is Canales' dude.  Tremayne or Coker or even Horn should be working in to diversify with Renfrow in slot looks.....but you need Coker or Tremayne opposite Tmac when that happens.

A few more hospital balls from Bryce and Renfrow may start rethinking his decision to return to the NFL...

    • This was entertaining af lol. The Good thing is he’ll be making a bunch more crash out videos before the season ends.
    • I haven't seen much indication of a connection yet. He isn't lacking for targets. as he is the 2nd most targeted receiver on the team so far. He does have the 3rd highest QB Rating on targets, though. Behind only Chuba and Evans.
    • Shutting out the Falcons is still a uniter for the fanbase for the most part. It's just not in the way it used to be or what it once was for  multiple reasons. People who feel like they aren't seeing enough rejoice over it are missing the point. Instances like this would carry more weight if they were more frequent against our rivals for one. For two. This place also as has been noted before has taken on an echo chamber effect the last several years where all the losing has given way to factions of fans either fully apathetic or fully doubling and tripling down in defense of the powers that be and moves and decisions that have been made. And as a result from that the huddle has also moved to a distinct complete lack of outside views and chatter that in the past had been a source of change of pace entertainment and also more importantly a uniting force for fans here to rally around each other in opposition to. We used to have a number of Falcons fans visiting here over the years and driving home how much we dislike them. Same with the Saints. We even had some visiting Bucs fans from time to time. That's all long gone. Until we get back to instances like this becoming more commonplace nothing will change.
