All you have to do is get any kind of rush on him and he looks very pedestrian.  He pads his stats against lesser competition too.  I am hoping his dad drafts him to the Saints so that we are not tempted.

I think the Saints have far more problems than QB. Rattler hasn't looked bad in the games ive watched but good lord they need serious help across the board on offense.

I cant remember which game exactly it was but I saw that poor guy hit 3 receivers in a row square in the chest or hands and them just drop it. It was rough.

Okay you can’t be in my front office lol.

That got us Bryce. Who would we have missed out on if we said minimum 6’ 200lb to make the cut? Murray?
Like Parcels said, he better walk on water at that size.

I mean I always thought Mike Glennon was just too tall lol.

But out of full disclosure, footwork and arm should have excluded Bryce from serious high pick consideration at any size

Keep in mind I do not exclude them on day 2 or 3.

That's just being wantonly myopic in the approach.

I don't care as much about measurables or RAS or whatever as I do actual football abilities. If the athletic profile is excellent, even better.

Mind you, the players need to be physically capable of playing the game. Rudy wasn't an NFL movie.

This is going nowhere. My last word on this:
There is no history of success in the 21st century NFL other than maybe Flutie if he played that long I don’t remember. So why consider a guy that was maybe 180 soaking wet and tippy toe 5’10? He has to roll out to see the field. 1st round? That is not a wise move 9 of 10 times.  At least
I’ll take my myopic chances and if he falls to the 4th or 5th maybe I take a shot.

Well, it should NOT be a QB. Just like in 2023, this team ain't ready for a rookie QB. Oline, LBs, Safeties, pass rushers, TEs, and yes - WRs. Build the team, and then draft a QB.

whats your solution for qb in 2026?  Seriously asking because the free agent list is LOL funny.

I Wouldn't trust any of these QB's in the upcoming draft as a high pick. Not to built a offense around anyways. Maybe in the mid- rounds, certainly not in the first or second. This team is so far behind the eight ball right now, they need help everywhere.

so whats the solution?  Its either a poo vet free agent qb, draft a dude and let him sit or bryce for at least 2 more years.

The rookie contract situation is fuging awesome when you hit on it, but it completely goes against your team when you have a guy like bryce.   I swear to Christ if we roll out someone like Russ next year hoping to compete I will fuging delete my account and completely stop driving 10ish hours to go to games.   fug that poo there needs to be a plan.  I keep seeing Wilsons name pop up in association with Canales and man if anyone has watched him the last 2 years the dude is completely fuging cooked.  Thats what happens when a smaller qb loses his speed and has to stay in the pocket, it doesnt work

You add the QB when you can. The 2011 team wasn't ready to drop in a QB either. Virtually no team drafting high is.

I mean, we've spent a ton of resources on OL, receivers, a RB. Overall for a highly drafted QB there's been a lot worse situations to walk into.

I'd day the 2011 team was a dang good setup to drop a QB into.  And by week 1 it certainly was.

Pro Bowl LT, our most underrated OG of all time, Pro Bowl C.  Pro Bowl WR.  Pro Bowl RB.  Added a savy old Pro Bowl TE and your promising Greg Olsen.

That's a great setup.   Carolina was nowhere near as bad going into our 2011 season as our draft placement suggested IMO.  It just speaks to the power of a really bad QB (Jimmy Clausen)....that nukes everything and everyone from functioning.  Because records were being rewritten starting week 1 of 2011

Right now we have a top 10 pick LT who is showing improvement as a pass protector, two top tier guards, an aging but still top shelf RT, a top 10 pick at WR, a proven veteran RB. I mean, the cupboard is far from bare. Drop rookie Cam on this roster and it's probably similar results. 6ish wins and overall competitive but the D usually finds a way to give up more points than we can score.
