Safe to say we are pretty stuck.

So figured it would be interesting to see how people would suggest we navigate our way out of these waters.

Bullet points, longer spiels, memes, let’s see it all. Anything is acceptable.

Benchings, Firings, Releases, Draft Ideas, potential HCs, just curious to see where people are leaning at this stage for reshaping the next season or so.

I’m still collecting my thoughts on this but have some ideas…

Something we shouldn't wish for like a plane crash or a completely unlikely desire to sell a profit machine not being on the table makes it all fantasy but OK.

Clean house. Hire a front office old hand through a consultant without input from the Teppers. Have new hire lead the new GM and HC search without the Teppers being in the process. The only person to have meetings with the Teppers are the new president or whatever they call him. Hit 7 wins the first year by just getting out of their own way. Continue pretending it's a football team and not a toy for clueless billionaires.

This would help tremendously.

Bring in Trey Lance, try to get Shedeur Sanders. Draft a QB late in the draft. Trade back and accumulate all the draft capital possible. We need another receiver, PASS RUSH!!!!!, and LB HELP!!!! I don't suggest drafting a QB in the 1st rd until we have a TEAM capable of winning around him. And get a kicker who we can send out to try a 55+ yd FG.

The harshest path is:

  • Fire all coaching staff, hope to hire competent HC -- will John Haurbaugh be available?
  • Keep Dan Morgan? I've liked him, been an upgrade on Fitterer even though he's made mistakes
  • Trade back in the draft unless there's a can't miss prospect available, draft as well as you can and do not give up any draft picks
  • Draft a QB in round 2/3 and sign a QB with NFL starting experience
  • Apologize to the fans for trotting out Nick Scott and Rozebum this season, promise it will never happen again
  • Get rid of Bryce Young, doesn't matter how you do it, but just turn the page there for everyone's sake

That's really it, the only way out is through! Really comes down to drafting and not getting impatient which might be hard for Tepper. There's talent here, it's just being dragged down by some of the worst football players I've ever seen don a Panthers uniform, and that's mostly Teppers fault because he thought he was smarter than everyone else when he bought the team.

I kinda did this a few weeks ago - step one is to accept Bryce Young isn't the guy and to trade for one of the better backups in the NFL.

That lets you actually assess what you have in Canales, the OLine, the WR corps etc.

Right now you've got people running down Renfrow because he's a precision / timing receiver and is completely lost with Young throwing him the football. Or arguing our finesse Flex-TE, Sanders, isn't the guy because he's not winning contested catches.

If were going to restart....again.... I really hope Tepper hires some sort of a chief of football operations that he trusts. Somebody that is almost unfireable in their role. Some kind of owner liaison. Tepper has proven a complete inability to handle football ops. He has learned and gotten better, but it's still not working. The immediate name that comes to mind for me is Ron Rivera. He's in a similar role as GM at Cal right now. He knows this city, and he knows football and the pro game. I'm confident that Tepper has someone in Pittsburgh he would trust for this.

I'm not sure our issues can be traced to any one thing or any one person (That doesn't own the team). Culturally, things aren't working. In my experience, it's hard to alter that unless you tear down the entire operation, root and stem. You can make an extremely valid excuse for nearly every single human that is deserving of accountability in our organization except the owner at this point.  And that is a massive problem.

You are what your record says you are, and under David Tepper, we've been the 2nd worst franchise in the NFL only to the New York Jets. That said, the more times we restart, the harder it is to get back to relevancy.

Been mulling over this for a few days bear hands so as always good post

First is i think we need to move on from Canales. My inclination is to hire Brian Flores as HC and see if Mike McDaniel would be available as OC. Although I could see both saying no thank you to David tepper

Second is trading Bryce for whatever you can get.

Third id sign a veteran QB this off-season. Nothing more than a 2 year deal. Maybe Justin Fields, maybe the Raiders move on from Geno

Fourth I either take the best defensive player with our round 1 or ideally trade down for future draft capital

Five FA I would target LB, a veteran WR 2/3, and FS

Six as a gesture of goodwill to the fans and players reinstall grass at bank of america (he won't do this this)

First thing's first, Tepper has to GTFO of football operations. Like all the way out. Go run the business. Leave football up to the football people. If the football people aren't working out then replace them and lean on football people to help you find those replacements.

Until this happens then we are who we are.

More than anything we need to become a serious football team again. I'm not saying we need to be contenders. But we need to be competing in nearly every game

Right now we are the laughing stock and punching bag of the league
