They shouldn't have brought him back and Im not sure who is going to do a better on his D staff. Even better he should have been fired during last sseason. Might ass well just keep cutting the dead weight like Scott and force his hand.

Tepper isn’t in charge of making decisions. This isn’t him trying to be fired, this is a test for Dan or Dave.

I have no idea who brought back Evero but until I hear otherwise I will assume it was a mix of DC and Morgan. No one stopped it that's for sure.

He could have left in the offseason and been a win/win. He gets to say they didn't invest enough in the D while going to prove it elsewhere and they get to say they needed to make a change. Perfectly normal but it's the Panthers so they choose poorly again. WTF brings back a historically poor showing like that in their 2nd year?

Problem with Evero is he has a mixed bag of a resume from us and the broncos so this will be the final straw in the panthers saga.

Does it really matter at this point? There's still the matter of Dom's influence in the building. He will make the call.

If Evero goes, Don will go, don’t you think?

Sir Big Spur, if you think about it you can probably make a good guess. It does not look like Canales has rank over Evero to tell him who to play. Without overstepping.

But Canales and Morgan have roster control. And Canales overstepped lol. That’s what I think.

In general I don’t know how to evaluate the defense because they are the red headed stepchild here in the draft and FA 2022, 2023, 2024. They have been so neglected and so ‘underfunded! I can’t expect a lot.
I know that maybe the players have been out of position a lot and that is coaching but aren’t getting the best brightest bulbs off the street. The saying I can explain it to you but I can’t understand it for you may be relevant

So I just have a hard time being real judgemental given those things.

Evero should have been fired last year and we should be running a 4-3 right now. The conversion to 3-4 was botched and we still don't have the personnel for it like 5 years later.

I would be all for it but that is never going to happen. Tepper decreed it. Ron could run both and had as a DC so he went with it.
