Regardless of if Canales pans out as a head coach the structure and process of this franchise is a complete and utter joke and that begins and ends with the Tepper's.

I'd admire Canales' coaching if the rest of the team, ANY of the rest of the team, appeared prepared and ready to play in games.

We look like a bunch of people who didn't do their homework being called to the chalk board to explain a math problem.

Was trying to figure out if we had any players left on the team today who were part of a winning season for the Panthers. Only one guy left I believe -- JJ Jansen. It has been a long time.

Not sure if we've brought any LBs in for workouts but it's hard to believe that there aren't some guys on couches or practice squads better than some of the guys we have on the active roster.

We have two weak side 43 linebackers playing inside in a 34

I agree with you that the gameday coaching and situational football scenarios leave a great deal to be desired. On both sides of the ball. Although we must be clear. Evero was forced on Canales by the Tepper's.

Canales didn't even interview with anyone else. We hired him solely because of the work he did with past QB's and because he was an offensive mind that had what was perceived to be a strong season with the Bucs.

We had a hard nosed culture creator like Mike Vrabel scheduled for an interview but most Panthers fans were in agreement we didn't want a retread and I get the sense he would not have meshed with the Tepper's similarly to how Jim Harbaugh would not have. Because they would have told the Tepper's to fưck off if need be.

In hindsight we probably should have rolled the dice on Vrabel but the issue there is I do not believe he would have stood for continuing to play Bryce Young despite dozens of games worth of tape showing he is simply not a starting quarterback. There is no way Vrabel would have made it this long without moving on to another QB. And I also do not believe he would have stood by while the FO made zero attempt to bring in any legitimate competition in the QB room two offseasons in a row. Not a chance in hell.

Arguing over whether or not Canales is or isn't "it" is pointless at this juncture. Everything we've done last year and this year has revolved around catering to and building around Bryce Young and our team has continually been worse off for it. Continuing to play him and drag this out is only going to make things worse for everyone involved.

I really, really think Dave is being forced to play Bryce.  He yanked him way earlier last season for this exact same level of play.  I also think the 3rd down run calls were making a point bc he has to play him.

Too bad he can't just focus on coaching and not playing mind games with Dipper. I guarantee hes saying wtf did I get myself into.

He made a comment in his press conference today: “Need to find a way to make more plays down the field with the people we have” and I was like nah buddy, that’s singular, you mean the person you have.

zavala had a pass protection grade of 0 this past week before injury

And I thought he had progressed. He was one of the worst ever his rookie year I guess he didn’t get better.

He got better for the few games he played in last year. This year he hasn't picked up where he left off. Sound familiar?

It certainly does. And reinforces to me that my first impressions of a player are the ones I should go with.

With all of the college guys, you have to see them against NFL players before you know. They ate his lunch.

Also Corbetts MCL is a 6-8 week injury. The 8 week mark would be Week 10 vs New Orleans on November 9th but probably later considering conditioning, etc.

Hopefully he comes back as guard depth. He can’t handle a full season but would love him as OL depth
