He hasn't been awful but he's definitely much better at basketball. I don't feel like he quite has the excitement timing down of the NFL. Schlerth seems like he's being a dick to him too

I still think he’s been way better than most NFL announcers, but I can’t stand announcers in general across all sports and Collins is one of the few that I like so maybe that’s part of it

I thought he'd be more on point calling football because he started his career doing college football.

 

That said, he hasn't been bad.

Loved his calls. Made the game a lot more exciting tbh I hope he calls all our games because Mark Shlareth is insufferable to listen to all game.

I actually liked how blunt he was when calling out Bryce and the offensive play calling. People need to hear that Bryce is subpar on TV or they’ll keep blaming everyone and everything else.

He said the wheel route to tremble is a play a NFL QB makes 100 out of 100 times and on a separate instance said Bryce is too inconsistent for a 3rd year player. Everyone in the stadium knew they should run right except canales I don’t mind stink

Not seeing the play, but hearing that, pretty damning. Good for him man. I don’t know if it is being an ex player that makes them go so easy on people but they sure do go easy.

They didn't go too easy on him today. I mean they tried a few times to make a throw bigger than what it was but for the most part it was mostly fair assessments. There wasn't much early on that they could gloss over. The 1st half was just ugly football from Young all around. Completely different team came out after halftime.

That would be a first, calling him out for poor play. I have yet to hear it previously .
