Those Bryce haters always derailing posts, amirite?

Anyway, this hugely increases our chances but Fields is precisely the kind of QB we could have trouble with, and the Jets have a defense that could give us trouble. If they lean into stopping the run - which they probably will - we will need TMac and Bryce to step it up to get a win.  I think the Jets are better than their record but still not very good. Then again, nor are we, lol

Losing Pat Jones could end up being an issue for us. He was good at setting the edge against the run and we're going to have to contain Fields in that aspect if nothing else. Can't let him have a career day rushing the ball by letting him escape the backfield.

What are the chances we just put Horn on Taylor to take away their only receiving threat left?

I want to start Taylor in fantasy, but I'm afraid that's what we might end up doing and it could come back to bite me (although not like Hockenson is a much better option these days either).

Carolina isn't good enough to assume a win. Every game is a dog fight.

When folks start saying this is almost a sure win it scares me. I do not care that they have not won a game. They lost to Tampa Bay and Denver by 2 points. They would like nothing better than to beat the Panthers now that the Panthers are getting a little positive press.

Yup exactly. Our young players on D are going to need to really step up. The good thing is our safeties are pretty good vs the run.

Can't even stay healthy. What a bum. Jets should really get rid of this guy. Obviously not to an AFC team though. But since he can't even suit up for a game, probably a 5th rounder should do it. Perhaphs to... I don't know... the Panthers? Yeah, Jets go ahead and dump this loser, we'll do you a favor and take him off your hands for a ... hell, let's make it a 4th even cause we're so nice.

Hopefully he covers Mason Taylor... He's probably the jets best weapon that isn't breece

We are bottom 2 or 3 in the NFL in TE production. Luckily, they have Justin Fields as their QB. He is one of the few starting QB's in the NFL worse than Bryce.

Now if Tyrod gets subbed in, we might be in trouble.

I'm starting him...but I'm in a 12-team league with two TE spots. The TE situation in fantasy is underwhelming. It's basically a wasteland.

Same-ish here, 12 team league with only 1 TE spot, but we have a WR/TE flex spot as well.  Most teams carry 2 TE's with a few who actually carry 3, so yea, not easy to get quality TE production in my league.

The Vikings weird usage of Hockenson is killing me, he's gone multiple games where he doesn't have a catch through 3 quarters.  Then when they're playing from behind in the 4th, they'll just dink and dunk to him a bunch of times for chunks of yards and end up getting close to 10 points in the end.  Why not just use him all game if he's so effective in the 4th?

Gonna plays Taylor though, I figure they won't put Horn on him until/unless he is making a bunch of plays, at which point I'll probably have my points out of him by then anyways.

We have never in Horn’s existence done such.  Seems like super low odds to think could happen.

Canales explained the other week why Horn won’t and can’t travel in their D outside some random play here or there

Didn't we just do that a week or two ago?  Where a TE was killing us and then we started covering him with Horn the rest of the game to stop it?

Was it Waller?

Nah, only thing that stopped Waller was his snap count and being eased back in.

there was a random play vs Dallas where Horn replaced Jackson but Canales has said they can’t really do that with Horn outside of a random play.  It’s on some round table interview.

Horn can’t travel because the rest of the D can’t play the man coverage required for Horn to travel.

    • With Schoen and Dan Morgan being tight I’d figure we knew this was coming and since he is released, Dan didn’t bite.    But, a quick search says this is at least 80% cap related. They have No cap space and save 8 or 9 million with releasing him.  He has been a captain his entire time there. 145 tackles this year.  They are picking 5th with a new staff and looking at Styles. Hitting that age 30 season and had a disc issue last year (meaning 2024) that did not require surgery.  I haven’t really watched him play but he activated the antennae.
    • OK, we are letting our top RB go.  We have Chuba, Etienne, and Brooks.  Imagine a player who could LEGITIMATELY play the slot and back up at RB?  I am sure he'd be a special team player as well.  I noticed him at the combine, and thought, "Here is a late rounder who could stand out as a slot and provide depth at RB. Without further ado....(I know one Huddler who might be able to tell us more about this guy): Navy running back/wide receiver Eli Heidenreich headlined the 2026 NFL Combine for the Midshipmen, running an official 4.44-second 40-yard dash and recording 16 reps on the bench press. Recognized as a versatile, "Swiss army knife" offensive weapon, Heidenreich solidified his draft stock as a potential day three target.    Eli Heidenreich (RB/WR - Navy) 2026 Combine Performance: 6'0" 200 lbs.   40-Yard Dash: 4.44 seconds. 10-Yard Split: 1.55 seconds. Vertical Jump: 35.5 inches. Broad Jump: 10' 0". Bench Press: 16 Reps. Highlights: Showcased as a premier receiving threat from the backfield, having left Navy as the program's all-time leader in receiving yards (1,994). High character.  Smart.  Maybe, just maybe....
