Bryce Young has now played one full seasons worth of games since returning from his benching in 2024

I don’t get the CJ did bad so Bryce now looks better logic.
I hated the trade up to start with. Would not have done it for either of them
But once it was done CJ was the better NFL prospect to me. I would bet on him again if those were the two choices
Him failing doesn’t  mean anything  one way or the other in relation to Bryce.

Because its a cop out with no room for nuance at all. It ignores every other similarity and just size to talk about size. Brees had worst year 3 stats than Bryce and by this forums take on the subject that should have been the end of his career. If you mention Brees its "he doesn't count because he is a HoF" if you mention Baker its "he's taller than Bryce" despite literally having way more batted balls.

Now we have Stroud trending down where does his size play into that?

Please makes the Brees poo stop.

Well hold on let's pause for a second and establish some things first since we're on the subject of "cop outs with no room for nuance".

Our own QB has 37 games under his belt. Many of them are either subpar or just plain bad. We only just this past Sunday won our 2nd road game in his career. But months and months of contentious discussion since his rookie season has largely resulted in the oft used argument that Bryce Young's struggles were due to the coaching and players around him and ultimately he couldn't be blamed. But now apparently it seems like you folks have fully tossed that out and are actively blaming Stroud while wholly omitting contributing circumstances around him. So which is one it?????

As far as Brees. Look I've got to be direct here. I cannot stand that guy. But I would have to concede that he had a significantly better arm than Bryce Young. I mean it's not even close. Plus as much as it annoys me to say it's clear Drew Brees wasn't afraid to hit the weight room either.

And Baker has obviously always had arm talent that showed on the tape even when he was struggling or being a tool.

Acknowledging all of this is the first step in gaining a firm footing in reality with the rest of us.

There just isn’t any reasoning with some of these Bryce Stans. I appreciate you fighting the good fight though.

Not this drew brees poo again.  Goddamn you fuging stans are the worst.

again there are 3 options for bryce after this year

1.pick up the 5th

2. extend him

3. cut/trade

which are you in favor for?

Anish was on the OG podcast and he was getting the team talking points out there.  Of course mentions Jones, Baker and Sam.  While not acknowledging the number of years and different teams it took just for them to play like they are and not acknowledging the wasteland of first round qbs that never got better.

For every one Darnold there are 35 Kenny Picketts, Trey Lance, Fields etc.

Joe tried to push him on his Bryces mediocre play and its not like a #1 overall pick, he wasnt having any of it just keep saying hes only 24 years old.  Saying what the team has been leaking for 2 weeks, he just needs more time.  Ugh, brace yourself for a extension and they sell it as he is our guy and we got him on a deal before he blows up

    • General tone of the thread. Probably shouldn't have quoted you directly. Not to mention, this White kid has a career 6.8 Yds IAY. Bryce is 7.7. That is not even an upgrade in targets down the field. It's literally a downgrade.
    • The scope of the limitations is so far beyond long bombs. Nobody here is clamoring for us just to run straight up go routes on repeat. There are crucial throws defenses know we can't convert such as down the sideline that almost always result in either the ball going several feet over the receivers head out of bounds or the receiver having to leap into the air and make an acrobatic attempt to haul it in or having to completely slow down or stop. It's off the table and defenses know it and sooner or later we were going to walk into another buzzsaw like against the Patriots. Nobody here is in love with Hendon Hooker or Mike White. It wasn't us who made the decision to ignore the depth of the QB room two years in a row. You can whail at people for discussing it all you want. If you're bothered by the discussion then all up Dan Morgan and bitch at him about the fact we are having to discuss the likes of Dalton Hooker or White. It isn't our fault.
    • But we have the qb whisperer or so I've been told
