$153,000,000 missing yesterday

The Panthers have the most expensive O-line after signing Hunt and Lewis to massive contracts and they have been worth every penny. Problem is they were both missing yesterday and it showed. Pass blocking was abysmal as was the run blocking. They couldn't even get 1 yard on a fourth and one with  Rico.

It didn't help that Canales continued to call the same conservative stuff over and over.

Of course some of it can also be attributed to the Jets' front seven. As a reminder, they held Bo Nix and the Broncos to almost the exact same numbers last week (168 / 78 vs the Panthers 198 / 125).

So maybe it's not all on Bryce Young or Andy Dalton.

The Jets defense is legit!  I don’t know that the stats would have been much better with everyone healthy on the oline.  Their offense though, I’ve watched Panthers football since the beginning and even with our trashiest trash was much better than what the jets have…somehow!

    • Rotating in Chuba was beyond stupid and really hurt our offense overall. We’ve been in a good rhythm the last 6 quarters or so but Canales figured disrupting that with Chuba would be worth it Rico fits this offense so much better than Chuba    As far as grades go I know that ain’t our RB1, starting Center and our supposedly deep WR room and exciting talented young TE in dead last. Weird. I wonder if that has any correlation on QB play  Even that first incomplete ball Bryce threw in the end zone that hit Legette’s hands. Legette had no business being there so early. Legette went into scramble drill when that ball was intended for Coker who led up because of the traffic there
    • Yeah Jets have pretty much been in every game they've played and have barely lost to really good teams. They are much better than their record says Imo
    • I kinda just wanna see what the offense can do with a QB who has proven he can move the football in the NFL. If Dalton wasn't a shadow of his former self I'd be fine with him but Father Time has definitely caught up with him. If we start piling up the losses as the schedule gets tougher and the passing offense continues to be anemic that might cast Canales his job and it's worth a very low risk move IMO to at least give him a fighting chance. The thought of yet another Tepper rebuild just isn't at all exciting to me having already seen a few of them. I'm about giving this current guy a fighting chance.
