Anyone notice Jalen Coker yesterday?

no surprise there, guy is notorious for being out of shape.  yet for some reason peeps seem to think hes gonna be the 2nd coming of Jerry Rice.

I don't think one comment about him being out of shape this offseason constitutes a "nortorious reputation."

I'm giving the kid some grace from returning from an injury. He's not necessarily going to be "springy" his first game, but he has enough goodwill in the tank from his rookie season to give him some time to get back into his norm.

At this point, I personally am not anointing him anything but a very solid contributor, but that's good in my mind. I don't think anyone can say whether or not he's going to rise much further or whether he has hit his ceiling, but whether he has or hasn't, I'm glad that he's back.

Corbett played his ass off.

Coker might as well had taken another week.

I really couldn't understand why people were chirping about keeping Corbett benched. He was a very good OG. It's him at center that was never very good.

Also, Cade Mays once again is a replacement level player. As fans, some of ya'll really need to stop overestimating these long term backup players. That's rarely an accident. Doesn't mean they aren't valuable but the idea that these guys are long term starting solutions is ludicrous.

IMO I think hes just more of a big bodied reciever, the Jimmy Graham type tight end and while it may be something we want to do, it isnt who we are right now with us being a run first offense.  As such, Tremble and Mitchell fit the mold of the necessary personnel.  I think if we ever get to a place of being more a air raid offense he could be vital, even with that, spread offense with him is not bad either since hes such a large target.

He has to be far more physical if he wants to be a big-bodied WR like Graham. Right now he's like Kyle Pitts - a soft, slow WR.

Sanders has looked bad all year

James Mitchell should get his snaps

I thought he played pretty well the first 2 weeks. The injury definitely set him back.

I think Evans should be our #1 tight end and we should be using Sanders split out wide in passing situations

Cade didn't have his best game yesterday, but having to worry about Quinnen Williams being right in front of you will do that to most centers.

Cade has been very good with his run blocking and ok with his pass blocking. I think he is much better than a replacement level player. Guy would start for more teams than not

He and Young were definitely out of sync on his targets. But the entire offense was out of sync except Rico.

You know, a lot is going to be made of it, but let's also be honest, the Jets defense is a helluva lot better than their offense. That's actually a modestly okay defense we faced. The rest of the Jets, phew.
